Samsung GX-10 / GX-20 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SB-L1674)

This is a 7.4V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement for the Samsung SB-L1674 battery. It fits the Samsung GX-10 and GX-20 DSLRs. The cell slots into the same battery compartment and connects through the same contact layout as the original.

• GX-10 and GX-20 compatibility: Both bodies share the same battery bay geometry, contact pitch, and 7.4V supply rail. The BMS communication protocol is identical across the two models, so the same cell works in either body without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the GX-10 body. The BMS accepted the cell on first install, charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity, and the camera body reported battery status without fault codes.
• First-use charge cycle on the GX-10: Insert the cell and run a full charge inside the camera body before the first shoot. The GX-10 BMS maps the battery-remaining display against the discharge curve during that initial cycle — skipping it can cause the indicator to read inaccurately mid-shoot.

Flash recycling slowdown on a new SB-L1674 replacement

The GX-10 built-in flash pulls a large capacitor recharge current each cycle. A new cell at partial charge or low state of charge will show measurable voltage sag during that recharge burst. This causes the recycling indicator to stay lit longer between shots. Run the first full charge cycle to top capacity before any flash-heavy work — the effect is most pronounced in the first few cycles while the cell conditions.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the GX-10 display

The GX-10 battery meter maps voltage thresholds against the OEM cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different curve shape causes the indicator to jump — often reading full, then dropping to one bar quickly. This is a calibration mismatch, not a cell fault. Complete two full charge and discharge cycles through the camera body to allow the BMS to re-map the thresholds. After that, readings stabilise to within one display increment of actual state of charge.
