Fits Mobiado Classic 712 Stealth LE and variants; replaces OEM battery for this luxury phone model.
3.7V, 800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers rated capacity for calls, messaging, and standby on this device.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with tab-locking orientation; no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in the 712EM — BMS accepted the new pack on insertion without fault codes.
On first charge after installation, complete one full discharge-charge cycle before enabling any fast charging mode to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mobiado Classic 712 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 800mAh (2.96Wh) lithium-ion cell for the Mobiado Classic 712 Stealth LE, Classic 712EM, Classic 712GCB, and Classic 712ZAF. All four variants share the same battery bay dimensions and voltage rail. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold charge through a normal day of calls and messaging.

  • Classic 712 variant compatibility: The Stealth LE, EM, GCB, and ZAF share identical battery dimensions (39.75 × 37.75 × 6.50mm), the same 3.7V nominal rail, and the same connector orientation. The BMS handshake is consistent across all four, so one cell covers the full lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under simulated call and standby loads. The BMS engaged protection cutoff correctly at both low-voltage and overcharge thresholds with no anomalies.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on this phone is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle lets it remap against the new cell before the OS starts reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Classic 712 after a cell swap

This phone's power IC monitors cell voltage in real time. A fresh cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the aged original. When the fuel gauge IC hasn't recalibrated, it misreads remaining capacity and the phone hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff while the OS still shows charge remaining. The fix is one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the gauge IC maps the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery dropped below roughly 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone will show no response — no boot screen, no charge indicator. Connect it to a wall charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on. Most BMS circuits will accept a trickle recovery current and release the lockout once the cell climbs back above the minimum threshold voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Classic 712 battery percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on this phone uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's charge and discharge profile. A new cell has a different impedance and discharge curve, so the counter misreads state of charge until it re-learns the curve. Run one complete discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle the readings stabilise.

My Classic 712 gets noticeably warm near the back panel while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in one does. The charge IC works harder pushing current into a cell with higher internal resistance. This warm-up phase is normal and fades after two or three full cycles as cell impedance drops. If the phone stays hot to the touch past the third full charge, check that the charger output matches the phone's rated input — overvoltage from a mismatched adapter will sustain the heat.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement battery — what happened?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some proprietary charge protocols won't negotiate correctly because the BMS on the new cell hasn't established a charge history with the phone's charge IC. Plug into a standard 5V charger and complete one full charge cycle first. After that baseline cycle, reconnect the fast charger — the protocol handshake typically succeeds from the second cycle onward. If fast charging still doesn't engage, confirm the cable supports the required current rating for your charger.
