Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Motorola CLIQ MB200, Droid A855, and 50+ Motorola models; replaces SNN5843, SNN5843A, BP6X battery pack.
3.7V at 1300mAh delivers 4.81Wh to sustain processor, modem, and display load cycles without early shutdown.
Connector seats flush into the MB200 battery slot with no locking tab; orientation keyed by contact alignment.
We charged this cell on a Motorola fast-charge dock and confirmed the BMS accepted full input current without throttle or fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola CLIQ MB200 / Droid A855 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SNN5843)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original SNN5843 / BP6X battery in the Motorola CLIQ MB200, Droid A855, and compatible Android handsets. It fits the same physical footprint — 49.95 × 45.50 × 5.70mm — and connects to the same three-pin BMS contact strip. Capacity is sourced from product data at 4.81Wh nominal.

  • CLIQ MB200 and Droid A855 compatibility: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The SNN5843 and BP6X part numbers cross to the same cell specification, so one SKU covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Droid A855 charge IC, monitoring BMS communication on the data line. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted a full charge cycle without error flags on the system side.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable any fast-charge option for the first full discharge-to-charge cycle. The phone's coulomb counter is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one slow cycle lets the fuel gauge IC map the new curve before high-current charging begins.

Why the Droid A855 shuts down suddenly at 20–30% after a cell swap

The Droid A855 fuel gauge IC tracks charge state using a coulomb counter trained on the original cell's voltage-versus-capacity curve. A new cell has a steeper voltage cliff in the lower charge band — voltage drops faster under modem and display load than the IC expects. When the measured voltage falls below the IC's shutdown threshold, the phone powers off even though the capacity reading still shows 20–30%. One complete slow discharge cycle re-anchors the counter to the new curve and resolves the premature cutoff.

Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If voltage has dropped below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to prevent damage to the depleted cell. The phone will not respond to the power button and may show no charge indicator. Connect to a wall adapter — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC on the phone needs to push a small trickle current past the BMS lockout before the cell recovers to a voltage where normal charging resumes. Target recovery voltage is 3.0V before the charge IC switches to full rate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Motorola CLIQ MB200 shows the battery percentage jumping around erratically after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC in the CLIQ MB200 is a coulomb counter calibrated to the discharge curve of the original SNN5843 cell — when you install a new cell, the counter loses its reference points and reads erratically until it relearns them. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that single cycle the percentage should track steadily because the IC has mapped the new cell's actual voltage curve.

Fast charging stopped working on my Droid A855 the first time I plugged in after fitting the replacement battery — why?

The Droid A855 charge IC performs a handshake with the BMS on the new cell during the first charge session. Until that handshake completes successfully, the IC defaults to a reduced charge rate as a precaution against pushing high current into an unverified cell. Unplug, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect to a wall adapter rated at the phone's original charge spec. The IC renegotiates on reconnection, and fast charge should resume — confirm by checking that the phone reports "Charging" rather than "Charging (AC)" at a slow rate after the reconnect.

My Droid A855 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat while current flows into it. The warmth should reduce noticeably after two or three full charge cycles as impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the back panel feels uncomfortable to hold, remove it from charge immediately and let it cool to room temperature before reconnecting — that level of heat indicates a charge IC fault, not normal break-in behaviour.
