Fits Verizon Droid, Milestone, A855, and Droid Pro — replaces OEM part SNN5843, SNN5843A, BP6X.
3.7V, 1300mAh lithium-ion cell delivers 4.81Wh to restore full call and messaging runtime on aged packs.
Connector seats vertically into the Droid battery slot with a single mechanical locking tab on the right edge.
We ran discharge cycles on a Droid A855 motherboard — the BMS accepted the cell without cutoff errors or voltage sag under modem load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Verizon Droid / Milestone A855 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SNN5843)

This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Verizon Droid, Milestone, A855, and Droid Pro. It matches the OEM form factor and connector pinout so it seats without modification. Capacity figures come from the product data, not third-party claims.

  • Droid / Milestone platform fit: The A855, Milestone, and Droid Pro share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and SNN5843 footprint. The connector and BMS handshake protocol are consistent across these variants, so one cell covers the full group without adapter hardware.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Droid platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge profile without triggering an overcurrent cutoff. Voltage held steady at 3.7V nominal under screen-on and modem-active load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging cycles begin.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Droid after a cell swap

The Droid's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When you install a fresh cell, the IC's voltage-to-percentage map no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The modem radio and display draw a surge of current, the cell voltage dips sharply, and the IC interprets that dip as empty — triggering shutdown even though capacity remains. One full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and removes the mismatch.

Phone will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if this cell dropped below 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent unsafe charging. The Droid will show no response — no charge indicator, no boot screen. Connect to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC trickle-charges at low current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.8V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Droid shows 25% battery then shuts off completely — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Droid was mapped to your old cell's degraded discharge curve, and it cuts power when voltage sags under modem or screen load — even if charge remains. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interruption. That single cycle re-anchors the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual voltage curve.

The Droid battery percentage jumps around erratically after I put in the replacement — it went from 60% to 80% without charging.

Erratic percentage readings are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating in real time against a cell it has no reference data for. It is guessing based on voltage alone until it logs a complete discharge-charge cycle. Do not top-up or partially charge — let the phone run down to auto-shutdown once, then charge to 100% in one session. The readings stabilise after that first full cycle.

The phone doesn't power on at all after installing the replacement battery that was in the box for a few months.

The cell self-discharged in storage and likely dropped below the BMS recovery threshold of around 2.5V. Plug directly into a wall charger — a laptop USB port may not supply enough current to trigger trickle-charge mode. Leave it connected without pressing any buttons for at least 20 minutes. Once the cell climbs above roughly 2.8V, the BMS releases its lockout and the phone will boot or show a charge indicator.
