Fits Motorola Ease 34, Ease 35, and Ease 44 parent receiver units replacing OEM part VT533450.
3.7V 1150mAh Li-ion cell delivers the voltage this handheld monitor needs for full wireless range and night vision IR operation.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with no locking tab — push until seated flush with the housing.
We bench tested this cell on the Ease 34 receiver; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After battery swap, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit by holding the pairing button for five seconds — wireless links drop when power fully depletes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Motorola Ease 34 / Ease 35 / Ease 44 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VT533450)

This 3.7V 1150mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number VT533450 in the Motorola Ease 34, Ease 35, and Ease 44 digital audio baby monitor parent units. It slots into the handheld receiver — the unit a parent carries around the house. Capacity is 1150mAh (4.26Wh), matching the original specification.

  • Ease 34, 35, and 44 parent unit compatibility: All three models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, the same VT533450 form factor, and the same connector orientation on the receiver PCB. The BMS charge profile is consistent across the range, so one battery covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the parent unit PCB. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted the standard 4.2V charge termination without error flags.
  • Wireless re-pair after replacement: The Ease 34 parent unit loses its stored pairing data when the battery is fully removed. After fitting this battery, hold the pair button on both the parent unit and camera unit until the link indicator confirms reconnection — the monitor will not receive audio until this is done.

Parent unit battery draining overnight during active monitoring

The Ease 34 parent unit runs its LCD backlight and radio receiver simultaneously during night monitoring sessions. This is a sustained current draw that will deplete a 1150mAh cell faster than typical daytime use. If the screen stays on continuously, that alone accounts for a significant portion of the overnight draw. Enable the screen timeout in the parent unit menu — the audio alert function stays active even with the screen off, so you lose nothing by letting the display sleep.

Night vision on the camera unit appears inactive after parent unit battery swap

The camera unit's IR LEDs are not powered by the parent unit battery — they run from the camera's own mains adaptor. If night vision looks absent after a battery swap, the issue is almost always the wireless link dropping during the power interruption, not the IR hardware itself. Re-pair both units as described above. Once the link is restored and the parent unit has charged above 3.7V, the live camera feed including IR should display correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ease 34 parent unit won't connect to the camera after I replaced the battery — what did I miss?

Removing the battery cuts power completely to the parent unit, which clears the stored pairing data. The camera unit does not know the parent is back online until you manually re-pair them. Hold the pair button on the camera unit first, then press and hold the pair button on the parent unit until the connection indicator lights up. Once linked, audio transmission resumes immediately.

The range on my Ease 34 seems much shorter after fitting a new battery — is the battery faulty?

Radio transmission power in the Ease 34 parent unit is voltage-sensitive. If the new battery was installed with a low state of charge, the radio operates below its normal power envelope and range drops noticeably. Charge the parent unit fully before testing range — the cell needs to reach 4.2V termination voltage. After a full charge cycle, range should return to the original specification.

The parent unit screen flickers and the monitor keeps restarting during the night — what causes this?

This symptom points to voltage sag under load. The LCD, radio receiver, and speaker all draw current simultaneously during active monitoring, and a cell that has not completed its first full charge cycle can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold under that combined load. The BMS interprets the sag as a depleted cell and resets the unit. Charge the parent unit uninterrupted until the charge indicator shows full — typically confirmed when the charging LED changes state — before placing it back in use overnight.
