Fits Philips Avent SCD923P, SCD923/26, and Avent SCD923 parent units; replaces OEM part 1S1PBL1865-2.6.
3.7V at 2600mAh supplies enough charge for a full day of standby monitoring plus active listening and two-way talk sessions.
Single-cell Li-ion format slides into the battery compartment with flat connectors — no locking tab, straight insertion until seated flush.
We bench-tested this cell at 3.7V nominal; the monitor's BMS accepted the charge cycle without cutoff or thermal drift.
After battery installation, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit using the sync button — wireless link resets after power loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips Avent SCD923 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1S1PBL1865-2.6)

This 3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the OEM cell in the parent unit of the Philips Avent SCD923P, SCD923/26, and SCD923 baby monitor. It restores wireless portability to the parent unit so you can move freely around the home without being tethered to mains power. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

  • SCD923 parent unit compatibility: The SCD923 series parent units share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture and battery bay dimensions — 68.20 × 18.50 × 18.50mm. The BMS on each unit negotiates charge termination at 4.2V, so the cell must match voltage class precisely. This cell does.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the SCD923 parent unit's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, completed a full charge cycle without fault, and held voltage above the low-battery warning threshold through sustained screen-on operation.
  • Re-pair after install: The SCD923 parent unit loses its wireless link to the camera unit when power is fully interrupted. After fitting the new battery, hold the pair button on both units until the camera feed reappears on the parent screen — this is expected behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell.

Parent unit battery draining overnight on the SCD923

The SCD923 parent unit keeps the screen active during night-time monitoring, which is a sustained current draw that depletes a 2600mAh cell faster than most users expect. The backlit display and continuous radio link to the camera unit both pull current simultaneously. Enabling the screen timeout in the monitor settings cuts display draw significantly without affecting audio monitoring. If the unit is on the bedside table within reach, audio-only mode with the screen off is the most efficient way to run through the night.

Night vision stops working after fitting a new battery

The IR LEDs on the SCD923 camera unit draw from the camera's own power supply, but the parent unit's radio receiver needs stable voltage to process the IR-enhanced feed correctly. If the new battery is at storage charge — typically around 3.6V — the parent unit can struggle to render the night vision image cleanly. Charge the parent unit to full (4.2V cell voltage, indicated by the full battery icon on screen) before testing night vision. If the image is still degraded after a full charge, check that the camera unit itself has power and that the IR mode is not manually disabled in the menu.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SCD923 parent unit shows the camera is connected but the screen goes blank and won't stay on — new battery fitted yesterday, is the cell faulty?

A blank screen with an active connection usually means the battery is still at storage charge, not a faulty cell. Storage voltage sits around 3.6V, which is enough for the radio link but too low to sustain the backlit display under normal draw. Plug the parent unit in and charge it fully until the battery indicator shows full before using it on battery power. Once charged to 4.2V, the display should stay on without dropping out.

Range dropped noticeably after swapping the battery on the SCD923 — used to reach the garden, now cuts out in the next room.

The SCD923's radio transmitter output is voltage-sensitive — at low state of charge the parent unit reduces radio power to protect the cell, which shortens effective range. This is almost always a charge level issue, not a hardware fault. Charge the parent unit fully and retest range before assuming the replacement cell is undersized. If range is still reduced at full charge, check that the parent unit is not positioned behind a large metal object or concrete wall that wasn't a factor before.

The SCD923 parent unit battery drains much faster in winter than it did last summer — is that normal for Li-ion?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity at low temperatures because ion mobility in the electrolyte slows down — a 2600mAh cell can behave like a 1800mAh cell in a cold room. The SCD923 parent unit also works harder to maintain the radio link when signal conditions are marginal, which increases current draw. Keep the parent unit above 15°C during operation — a cold bedside table in an unheated room will accelerate this effect. Capacity returns to normal once the cell warms back up to room temperature.
