Fits Mustang M31 smartphone; replaces OEM battery N/A — uses CS-NK5BHL part number.
3.7V, 900mAh capacity delivers 3.33Wh to sustain the M31 modem and display load without voltage sag.
Connector slides straight into the M31 battery slot with standard Li-ion contact orientation and mechanical locking tab.
We ran full discharge cycles on the bench; BMS accepted charge protocol on first insertion without handshake faults.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mustang M31 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh (3.33Wh) lithium-ion cell for the Mustang M31 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when the cell no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the device. Dimensions are 46.20 × 34.14 × 5.68mm — confirm against your existing cell before fitting.

  • M31 cell compatibility: The M31 runs a compact battery bay sized for this specific footprint. A mis-sized cell will stress the connector tab and can lift the back cover. Match all three dimensions before installation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted charge current correctly and voltage held steady through a full discharge without mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if available and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the M31 is calibrated to the original cell curve — a full cycle lets it map the new cell before resuming normal operation.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Mustang M31 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still references the old cell's discharge curve. When the new cell hits a voltage point the IC hasn't mapped yet, it can't accurately predict remaining capacity. Under load — screen-on, active data, or a call — voltage sags below what the IC expects, and the phone shuts down to protect the system. One full discharge and recharge cycle from 100% down to automatic shutdown, without interruption, lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell.

M31 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and will not pass current to the device. The phone appears completely dead — no charge indicator, no boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger rather than a PC port and leave it for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; a wall adapter delivers enough current to push the BMS out of lockout where a low-amperage USB port may not.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Mustang M31 shows 25% battery and then just switches off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The M31's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's voltage curve, and the new cell discharges along a slightly different curve. When voltage dips under screen or modem load at a point the IC hasn't mapped, the phone interprets it as critical and shuts down. Run one uninterrupted full charge from 0% to 100% and let the coulomb counter recalibrate — shutdowns at that percentage typically stop after one complete cycle.

The battery percentage on my M31 is jumping around erratically after I replaced the cell — sometimes it drops 10% in seconds.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC symptom, not a defective cell. The IC's internal model no longer matches the discharge curve of the new cell, so readings become unstable — especially between 40% and 70% where the curve diverges most. Let the phone discharge to automatic shutdown without interruption, then charge fully to 100% without unplugging early. After that single calibration cycle, readings typically stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on my M31 after I put in the replacement battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC can be cautious about applying high current to a new, uncalibrated cell. This is normal behaviour — the controller defaults to a lower current profile until it has verified the cell's response. Charge the phone once at standard speed through a full cycle. On the next charge, reconnect your fast charger; in most cases the protocol re-negotiates correctly once the IC has one cycle of data on the new cell. If it still doesn't engage, check that the charger output is at least 5V/2A.
