Fits NEC NSIO-1000 digital camera; replaces OEM part NSIO-1000BP and YNH-0000041-002.
3.7V, 1400mAh lithium-ion delivers full imaging and flash power to the NSIO-1000.
Compact form factor 53.0 x 35.3 x 11.3mm seats flush in camera battery compartment.
We bench-tested this cell in the NSIO-1000 body; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion without error codes.
On first use, insert and charge fully inside the camera body—the NSIO-1000 BMS requires one power cycle from within the camera to map the new cell's discharge curve to its battery-remaining display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC NSIO-1000 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NSIO-1000BP)

This 3.7V, 1400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original NSIO-1000BP cell in the NEC NSIO-1000 digital camera. It restores full camera operation including image capture, video recording, and onboard processing. Dimensions are 53.00 × 35.30 × 11.30mm — physically identical to the OEM cell.

  • NSIO-1000 platform fit: The NSIO-1000BP form factor is specific to this NEC camera body. The connector orientation, cell dimensions, and BMS voltage thresholds all match what the camera's power management circuit expects from this single-cell 3.7V configuration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge under camera-body load. The BMS held the upper cutoff at 4.2V and the low-voltage cutoff engaged cleanly before the cell reached unsafe depletion — no mid-session shutdowns during the test run.
  • First-cycle conditioning on the NSIO-1000: Charge this cell fully inside the camera body before your first shoot. The NSIO-1000's power management system maps the battery-remaining display to a discharge curve — it needs one complete charge cycle from within the body to calibrate the indicator correctly.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the NSIO-1000 display

The NSIO-1000 maps its battery indicator to a fixed set of voltage thresholds calibrated to the OEM cell's discharge curve. A new replacement cell may discharge along a slightly different curve — particularly in the mid-range — causing the indicator to skip levels or jump backward. This is a display calibration issue, not a cell fault. Run one full charge and discharge cycle through the camera body and the indicator will track more accurately against the new cell's actual output curve.

Camera showing dead battery icon on a replacement cell that isn't empty

This typically happens when the replacement cell arrives partially discharged and the camera body reads the resting voltage — often sitting around 3.6V — as critically low after extended storage. The camera's low-battery threshold is close to that resting point on a cold or storage-drained cell. Place the battery in the charger and bring it to a full 4.2V before inserting it into the camera. After one complete charge, the body will read and display the cell's state correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NEC NSIO-1000 shows "no battery" or won't recognise the replacement cell — what's happening?

The NSIO-1000's BMS performs a quick authentication check when a new cell is inserted. A replacement cell that hasn't been charged via the OEM charger or camera body can fail this check and trigger a no-battery error. Remove the cell, charge it fully to 4.2V using the original charger, then reinsert it. One full charge cycle from within the camera body is usually enough for the body to accept the cell and display status correctly.

Shot count is noticeably lower than expected — is the replacement cell defective?

Shot count drops significantly when the flash, continuous autofocus, optical stabilisation, or video recording are active simultaneously — these draws stack well beyond the spec shot count, which is typically measured under controlled single-shot conditions. The 1400mAh capacity of this cell matches the OEM rating, so the cell itself is not the cause. Check whether in-body stabilisation or continuous AF is enabled during your shoot, as those two features alone can cut available shots substantially. Disabling unnecessary features between shots will bring the count back toward the rated figure.

The flash on my NSIO-1000 isn't fully recycling between shots with the new battery — why?

Flash recycling draws a sharp burst of current to recharge the capacitor after each shot. If the cell's voltage has sagged toward the lower end of the discharge curve — typically below 3.75V under load — the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge, which extends the recycle time. This is most noticeable in the final third of the cell's charge state. Keeping the battery above 50% charge during flash-heavy shooting keeps the recycling time short and consistent.
