Fits Traveler Super Slim XS7, Slimline X4, Slimline X6 camera; replaces OEM part NP-900.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 600mAh delivers 2.22Wh — typical for compact camera bodies with moderate flash duty.
Compact form factor 43.70 × 31.30 × 7.00mm; flat connector seats flush into camera battery door without modification.
We bench-tested the BMS handshake on a Traveler body; cell accepted full charge without fault codes or voltage drift.
On first use, run one complete charge cycle in the camera body before heavy shooting — the Traveler firmware needs a full discharge-recharge loop to map this cell's discharge curve and display accurate battery percentage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Traveler Super Slim XS7 / Slimline Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NP-900)

This is a 3.7V, 600mAh Li-ion cell for Traveler compact digital cameras — specifically the Super Slim XS7, Slimline X4, Slimline X6, and DC-5080. It replaces OEM part numbers NP-900, 02491-0015-00, BATS4, and 02491-0037-00. The cell measures 43.70 × 31.30 × 7.00mm and slots into the same battery compartment as the original.

  • Shared platform across Slimline models: The Super Slim XS7, Slimline X4, and Slimline X6 all use the same compact battery bay and 3.7V voltage rail. One cell covers all three bodies because the BMS threshold and connector pinout are identical across this Traveler line.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without a protection-circuit trip. Voltage under load held within expected range for a 600mAh Li-ion at 3.7V nominal.
  • First-install charge cycle on these camera bodies: Insert the cell and run a full charge inside the camera body or OEM charger before shooting. Some Traveler BMS firmware maps the battery-remaining indicator to the new cell's discharge curve only after that first in-body charge cycle completes.

Dead battery indicator on the XS7 display with a partially charged replacement cell

The Super Slim XS7 battery indicator reads voltage at rest against a fixed threshold table calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new third-party cell may sit at 3.6V resting — technically partial charge — but still trigger the low-battery icon if the camera's threshold table expects a higher resting voltage at that state of charge. This is a calibration mismatch, not a dead cell. Run one complete charge cycle in the camera body or OEM charger. After that cycle the display typically re-maps and shows an accurate level.

Flash taking longer to recycle between shots after switching to a new cell

Flash recycling speed depends on how fast the capacitor can draw recharge current from the cell. A new Li-ion cell at less than full charge has higher internal resistance, which limits that current draw and slows the recycle. This effect is most noticeable in the first few cycles of a fresh cell before the electrolyte is fully conditioned. Charge the battery to 100% before a flash-heavy shoot and the recycle lag drops back to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Traveler Super Slim XS7 shows "no battery" on screen but the replacement cell is definitely inserted — what's happening?

The XS7 BMS performs a voltage handshake on insert. If the cell resting voltage is below roughly 3.0V after storage or shipping, the camera rejects it as absent rather than flat. Place the cell in the OEM charger or a compatible external charger until it reaches at least 3.4V, then re-insert. The camera should recognise it immediately.

The battery percentage on my Slimline X6 jumps from 80% straight to 20% with no warning — is the cell faulty?

It is not faulty. The X6 maps its percentage display to fixed voltage thresholds tuned to the original cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different discharge slope will cause the indicator to skip steps — appearing to drop sharply at a voltage point that sits between two of the camera's fixed thresholds. The actual charge in the cell is continuous; only the display mapping is uneven. After two or three full charge and discharge cycles the jumps typically reduce as the camera recalibrates to the new cell's behaviour.

Shot count is noticeably lower than expected even though the cell reads full — what's drawing it down faster?

Shot count drops when flash, continuous autofocus, image stabilisation, or the rear LCD are all active simultaneously. Each of those draws current beyond the baseline spec the rated capacity is calculated against. On the XS7 and Slimline bodies, shooting in bright conditions with flash disabled and LCD brightness reduced will bring the count closer to the rated figure. Check that auto-flash is not firing on every frame when shooting indoors.
