Replaces O2 part number 35H00077-00M, 35H00077-02M, and TRIN160 for the XDA Mantle smartphone.
3.7V, 2200mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 8.14Wh — matches original capacity for standard talk and standby cycles.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with no modifications required to the device hardware.
We bench-tested the BMS on first insertion; the fuel gauge IC initialized without fault codes or early cutoff.
On first charge after installation, run a complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption — the coulomb counter needs one full curve to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge slope.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

O2 XDA Mantle — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (35H00077-00M)

This 3.7V, 2200mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the O2 XDA Mantle smartphone. It fits the XDA Mantle directly and matches the OEM voltage and connector. Capacity is rated at 8.14Wh — use the product data figure, not third-party estimates.

  • XDA Mantle platform fitment: The Mantle uses a slim Li-Polymer pouch cell on a 3.7V single-cell rail. This replacement matches the OEM connector pinout and BMS communication protocol used by the Windows Mobile power management stack on that platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge cycles on the XDA Mantle, monitoring BMS handshake, charge termination voltage, and cutoff behaviour. The cell accepts charge without false termination and holds voltage through screen-on and modem-active loads.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The XDA Mantle's fuel gauge IC maps its percentage table against a full discharge curve — skipping this step leaves the coulomb counter reading against the old cell's profile.

Why the XDA Mantle reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The XDA Mantle uses a fuel gauge IC that stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the replacement. The phone reads voltage but maps it to the old cell's table, so the percentage shown can be five to fifteen points off. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 4.2V resets the learned curve and realigns the counter to the new cell's actual profile.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the XDA Mantle after replacement

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet recalibrated and the phone hits a voltage cliff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Under modem-active or screen-on load, the new cell pulls more current than the fuel gauge expects at that state-of-charge, and voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold. The phone interprets this as a hard undervoltage fault and shuts down immediately. Complete one full discharge cycle to allow the coulomb counter to anchor itself to the new cell — target a resting voltage of 3.0V at shutdown before recharging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My O2 XDA Mantle won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is the cell dead?

A Li-Polymer cell stored at low charge can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell entirely to prevent damage. Connect the phone to its original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage climbs back above the BMS re-enable threshold of around 2.7V. Once the phone shows a charge indicator, let it reach at least 3.6V before powering on. If the screen stays dark after 45 minutes on charge, the cell has self-discharged below recoverable voltage.

The XDA Mantle feels warm near the battery during the first charge with the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell generates more heat during the first charge cycle than a well-cycled cell does. The charge IC on the Mantle pushes constant current into a cell whose internal resistance is slightly higher than the worn original, and that resistance converts some energy to heat. It should stay warm — not hot — and cool noticeably once the cell transitions from constant-current to constant-voltage phase, typically above 4.0V. If the back of the device becomes uncomfortable to hold, disconnect the charger and let the cell rest for ten minutes before resuming.

The battery percentage on my XDA Mantle jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes without any heavy use.

The fuel gauge IC on the XDA Mantle recalibrates its coulomb counter against a stored discharge curve from the previous cell. With a new cell installed, the voltage readings land in unexpected positions on that old curve, causing the percentage to jump when the phone queries the gauge between different load states. This is not a fault in the replacement cell — it resolves after one complete discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 4.2V. After that single calibration cycle, percentage readings should track smoothly with no jumps greater than two to three points between polls.
