Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange Nura — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP031C1)
This 3.8V, 3100mAh (11.78Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original TLP031C1 / TLP031C2 battery in the Orange Nura smartphone. It fits the Nura directly — same connector, same footprint at 84.21 × 56.74 × 4.17mm. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day.
- Orange Nura platform fit: The Nura uses the TLP031C1 and TLP031C2 interchangeably — both share the same 3.8V nominal rail, physical footprint, and flex connector pinout. Either part number seats correctly in the same battery bay without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Nura platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first contact, balanced protection tripped correctly at the high-voltage ceiling, and the charge IC held a stable taper current into the full 3100mAh capacity.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first charge after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the Nura's fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Orange Nura after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. Under peak modem or screen load, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects — the phone reads 25% but the cell is already below the BMS cutoff threshold. The gauge is still running the learned curve from the old, degraded cell. One full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current resets the coulomb counter and recalibrates the threshold mapping. After that cycle, shutdowns at partial charge typically stop.
USB fast charge not activating on the Nura after battery replacement
The Nura's charge IC performs a handshake with the battery's BMS before stepping up to high-current fast charge. On the very first cycle with a new cell, the IC may not complete that handshake and defaults to standard 5V charging instead. This is not a fault — it resolves after the first full charge cycle at standard current. If fast charge still fails to activate after two full cycles, check that the USB cable supports the required current rating, not just data transfer.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Orange Nura shut off at around 25% and now won't turn back on — is the new battery dead?
It is not dead. The BMS locked out the cell when voltage dropped below 2.5V under load — a protection trip, not a failure. Plug the phone into a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC needs to push enough current in to lift the cell above the BMS recovery threshold of roughly 3.0V. If the phone remains unresponsive after that window, try a different USB cable rated for charging current rather than data only.
The battery percentage on my Orange Nura keeps jumping around after I fitted the new cell — it went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without me doing anything.
The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. It does not automatically map itself to the new cell's chemistry until it sees a full calibration cycle. Run the Nura from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard charge speed with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter resets and percentage reporting stabilises.
The Orange Nura gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after the replacement — is that normal?
Yes, and it has a specific cause. A new lithium-polymer cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a fully formed cell; the charge IC pushes current into higher resistance, generating more heat than it will once the cell is broken in. This typically settles after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance drops toward its rated value. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably or charging stops prematurely before those cycles are complete, switch to a lower-output charger — 5W standard rather than fast charge — for the break-in period.
