Fits Orange SPV and SPV C100 smartphones; replaces OEM part PC26A.
3.7V, 1150mAh Li-ion cell restores full charge cycles on aging devices where original battery no longer holds voltage under load.
Connector seats into the SPV battery slot with single retention tab; polarity marked on cell contacts.
We bench-tested this cell in an SPV C100 — BMS accepted the charge handshake on first cycle, no fault lockout observed.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange SPV / SPV C100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PC26A)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1150mAh (4.26Wh), built to the PC26A spec. It fits the Orange SPV and SPV C100 — Windows Mobile smartphones from the mid-2000s. If your original battery no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly, this cell restores full operation.

  • SPV and SPV C100 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail. The PC26A part number covers both variants — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through a full charge cycle and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour at both the high-voltage ceiling and the low-voltage floor. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at the expected thresholds with no thermal event.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The SPV's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old cell's discharge curve — this single cycle resets it against the new cell so percentage readings stay accurate.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Orange SPV after a cell swap

The SPV's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the previous cell. A fresh Li-ion cell has a steeper voltage slope in the lower capacity range than a degraded cell does. The phone's software reads that voltage drop as empty and cuts power — even though capacity remains. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates premature cutoffs. After that cycle, shutdown should occur below 5% as expected.

Phone feels warm near the battery during the first charge on a new cell

A brand-new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge than a broken-in cell does — internal resistance drops after the first few cycles. The SPV's charge IC does not reduce current for a new cell automatically. If the warmth is noticeable but not hot to the touch, this is normal and resolves by the third charge cycle. If the back of the phone becomes too hot to hold, remove the battery and check that the contacts are fully seated and not shorting against the battery bay edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Orange SPV shows 25% battery then just switches off — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The SPV's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old degraded cell, so it misreads the voltage curve on the fresh replacement and triggers a low-battery shutdown too early. Run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge it in one uninterrupted session to 100%. That single full cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve and clears the premature cutoff.

The battery percentage on my SPV jumps around erratically after fitting the replacement — one minute it reads 60%, the next it reads 80%.

Erratic percentage readings mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell and has not yet built a stable discharge map. This is expected behaviour on the first few cycles after a cell swap. Complete two full discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge cycles without interrupting the charge. After the second cycle, the IC's stored curve will match the new cell and the percentage display will stabilise.

My Orange SPV won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I fitted it.

A Li-ion cell that has been stored for an extended period can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers the BMS protection circuit into lockout mode — the battery presents effectively dead to the phone. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current to bring the voltage back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once voltage reaches approximately 3.0V, the BMS releases and the phone will power on normally.
