This 2.4V, 1500mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the original pack in Panasonic cordless phone handsets. It fits the HHR-15F2G1 cell, KX-TG2000B, KX-TG4000B, KX-TGA400, and more than ten additional Panasonic handset models. Voltage and connector match the original — the base station charges it the same way it charged the factory pack.

• KX-TG and KX-TGA handset fit: These Panasonic handsets share a 2.4V NiMH cell format with the same footprint and connector orientation. The base station's charge circuit targets a fixed voltage ceiling — any pack outside that spec gets rejected. This cell sits within that window.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the KX-TGA400 base station and confirmed the charge indicator lit correctly from the first dock. The BMS accepted the cell without an error state across three full charge cycles.
• First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before using it. NiMH cells ship partially discharged from storage — a slow first charge lets each cell in the pack reach its rated capacity of 1500mAh. Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they hit rated capacity. A new pack straight from storage runs at roughly 60–70% of its 1500mAh rating on the first cycle. Each subsequent full cycle conditions the cells further. By cycle five, capacity stabilises — run the handset until it beeps low, then return it to the base for a full charge each time.

Base station shows no charge light or error after swap

Panasonic base stations check for a minimum voltage before starting a charge cycle. A pack that has sat in warehouse storage can drop below 2.0V — low enough that the base refuses to initiate charging. The fix is a trickle pre-charge: place the handset in the base, leave it undisturbed for 30 minutes, then remove and re-seat it. This nudges the pack above the acceptance threshold and the charge indicator should activate within a few minutes of re-seating.
