Fits Philips TD9203, TD9204, TD9213, and TD9240 cordless handsets; replaces OEM part numbers 60AAM3BMU and GP T160.
3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers the capacity this DECT handset needs for full talk time across multiple charge cycles.
Connector is a two-pin vertical slot; handset contacts align at the battery compartment base without polarity reversal.
We bench tested the pack on a TD9204 base station — BMS accepted voltage threshold immediately, no conditioning fault codes triggered.
After installation, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless batteries require slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips TD9203 / TD9240 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (60AAM3BMU)

This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for Philips cordless DECT handsets. It fits the TD9203, TD9204, TD9213, and TD9240 models. OEM part numbers 60AAM3BMU and GP T160 both cross-reference to this pack.

  • TD9203 / TD9204 / TD9213 / TD9240 compatibility: These four handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH battery bay, connector pitch, and base-station charging circuit. One pack covers the entire family.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a TD9203 handset. The base station accepted the battery without error, the BMS balanced all three cells cleanly, and voltage held steady across RF transmit bursts.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: Place the handset in the base immediately after installing and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cordless batteries arrive partially discharged from storage — skipping this slow initial charge means the cells never reach rated capacity and talk time will stay short from day one.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

NiMH cells shipped in storage have suppressed capacity — the chemistry needs three to five full charge-discharge cycles before it reaches its rated 2000mAh. After the initial 16-hour charge, use the handset until it signals low battery, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this two more times. By cycle three, talk time should match or exceed the original battery's performance at its best.

Base station shows no-charge or error light with new pack installed

Some Philips DECT bases use a threshold check at the start of each charge cycle — if the resting voltage of a new NiMH pack is too low from extended storage, the base interprets it as a fault and stops charging. Remove the handset, let it sit in the base for two minutes, then reseat it firmly. If the error persists, check the handset contacts against the base pins and clean both with a dry cloth. Voltage should read at least 3.0V on the pack terminals for the base to accept a charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Philips TD9203 handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones drop their pairing registration when that happens. Re-register the handset manually by pressing the paging or register button on the base station until it enters pairing mode, then follow the handset's on-screen prompts to re-pair. This is a DECT protocol reset, not a battery fault. The replacement pack itself has no effect on pairing once the handset is re-registered.

The handset is fully drained by morning even though I left it in the base overnight — is the battery defective?

This is a standby draw issue, not a battery defect. If the handset is not seated squarely in the base cradle, the charging contacts do not close and the battery slowly discharges powering the handset's idle circuitry overnight. Remove the handset, check that no debris is blocking the cradle contacts, and reseat it firmly until you feel it click into position. A correctly seated handset should show a charging indicator light within 30 seconds.

The TD9213 cuts out or drops calls when I move away from the base — range seems worse than before the battery swap.

DECT handsets boost transmit power when signal weakens, and that surge pulls extra current from the battery. A new NiMH pack in its first few cycles has higher internal resistance than a fully conditioned cell, so voltage sags under that RF load and the handset briefly loses signal. Run three full charge-discharge cycles to condition the cells and lower internal resistance. If range is still short after conditioning, check that no metallic objects or appliances have been placed between the handset and base since the swap.
