Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pocophone Poco F2 Pro 5G — 3.85V Li-Polymer 4400mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.85V Li-Polymer cell rated at 4400mAh (16.94Wh), sized at 76.40 × 63.20 × 5.20mm to fit the Poco F2 Pro 5G battery bay. It replaces the original cell when the phone no longer holds sufficient charge or shuts down unexpectedly under load. Voltage, connector, and physical dimensions match the factory specification.
- Poco F2 Pro 5G fit: The F2 Pro uses a sealed back panel with a specific flex connector orientation tied to the motherboard's fuel gauge IC. This cell matches that connector pinout and the impedance profile the charge IC expects, so the BMS handshake completes on first boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the F2 Pro platform, monitoring BMS communication and charge IC behaviour. The cell accepted both standard and fast-charge current without triggering thermal cutoff or charge termination errors.
- First-cycle fast-charge lockout: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Poco F2 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the F2 Pro stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, the IC still references that old curve, so percentage readings are inaccurate until it relearns. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell's actual capacity curve. Percentage accuracy stabilises within two to three cycles.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage cliff — the point where cell voltage drops sharply under modem or display load. The phone's low-voltage protection trips before the reported percentage reaches zero, cutting power abruptly. Run two full discharge-charge cycles without interruption to let the IC map the actual voltage-to-capacity curve of the new cell. After calibration, the OS reads the voltage cliff correctly and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Poco F2 Pro won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before install — is the cell dead?
A cell stored at low state of charge for an extended period can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell entirely to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes without attempting to power it on; the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage clears the lockout threshold. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the BMS has re-initialised. If no indicator appears after 90 minutes on a known-working charger, try a different USB-C cable rated for charging, not just data.
Fast charging stopped working on my F2 Pro after fitting this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Qualcomm Quick Charge or USB-PD handshake can fail because the charge IC is operating in a conservative mode until it has baseline impedance data on the new cell. Charge the phone once at standard speed to 100%, then unplug and let it discharge to below 20% naturally, and plug back in — fast charging typically re-engages on the second cycle once the charge IC has profiled the cell. If it still does not trigger, check that the charger outputs the correct voltage tier (the F2 Pro requires a QC 4.0 or USB-PD 20W source to activate the fast-charge protocol).
The phone feels noticeably warm near the battery area during the first few charges — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a worn-in cell does, because the charge IC is pushing current into a cell it has not yet characterised. Surface warmth in the lower-back area of the F2 Pro during charging is expected for the first two to three cycles and decreases as internal resistance settles. Charge in a well-ventilated spot and avoid placing the phone face-down on an insulating surface like a bed or sofa during these initial cycles. If the phone becomes hot enough to display a temperature warning on-screen, remove it from the charger and let it cool to room temperature before continuing.
