Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi 10X 4G (M2003J15SC / M2003J15SS / M2003J15SG) — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This 3.85V Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Redmi 10X 4G smartphone. It fits model numbers M2003J15SC, M2003J15SS, and M2003J15SG. Rated capacity is 4800mAh (18.48Wh) — matching the stock specification.
- Model variant coverage: The M2003J15SC, M2003J15SS, and M2003J15SG share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three regional variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the 10X 4G mainboard. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake cleanly, voltage held above 3.6V under sustained screen-on load, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its reference points — skipping this step is the most common cause of erratic percentage readings post-swap.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a fresh replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. When the Redmi 10X 4G fires up the modem or increases display brightness, the new cell's actual voltage drops below the shutdown threshold before the reported percentage catches up. The phone cuts power to protect the hardware — not because the cell is faulty. One complete standard-speed discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter reference, and the shutdowns stop.
Fast charging not working on the first cycle after battery replacement
The Redmi 10X 4G uses a proprietary charge protocol negotiated between the charge IC and the battery BMS. On the first cycle with a new cell, the BMS starts in a conservative state and may reject the high-current handshake until it has completed one standard charge. Plug in using the original adapter and let the phone charge at the base rate to 100%. After that first full cycle, the fast charge protocol should negotiate correctly on subsequent connections.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Redmi 10X 4G shows 25% battery left and then just shuts off — is the replacement cell defective?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the 10X 4G is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old battery, so the reported percentage and the actual cell voltage fall out of sync under modem or screen load. When the real voltage drops below ~3.4V, the phone shuts down even though the display said 25%. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle at standard speed and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell — shutdowns at false percentages stop after that cycle.
The battery percentage on my Redmi 10X 4G jumps around erratically after I put in the new cell — 60% one minute, 45% the next.
Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a faulty battery. The coulomb counter has accumulated reference data from the old cell and is applying that map to a cell with a different internal resistance profile. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed without pulling the cable. One clean cycle is usually enough for the fuel gauge to settle — if jumping continues after two full cycles, check that the battery flex connector is fully seated.
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging after the replacement — is the new cell overheating?
A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a well-used one, so the charge IC pushes more voltage across that resistance during the first few charge cycles, generating extra heat. This is normal and tapers off after three to five cycles as the cell's impedance drops. Keep the phone out of cases during charging for the first few cycles to let heat dissipate. If the back of the phone becomes too hot to hold or charging stops before 100%, check the connector seating and verify you are using the original 18W adapter — third-party adapters can misread the BMS and push unregulated current.
