Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

POSH Equal / S700A — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (P7055)
This 3.7V, 2600mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the POSH Equal and S700A smartphones. It matches the OEM part numbers P7055 and GY-288792PL. Capacity figures come from the product specification — 9.62Wh total energy.
- Equal and S700A platform fit: Both the Equal and S700A share the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer architecture, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S700A platform. The BMS accepted the charge current without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold under a simulated screen-plus-modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. The fuel gauge IC on the Equal was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle lets it map the new cell and prevents erratic percentage readings from the first day.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the POSH Equal after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. Under combined modem and display load, the new cell's terminal voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC expects — the phone's under-voltage protection triggers a hard shutdown before the percentage reaches zero. The fuel gauge is still running the discharge model it built for the degraded original cell. One full discharge cycle, letting the phone reach the 3.0V cutoff naturally, resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most cliff shutdowns.
Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells lose charge during storage. If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone shows nothing when you press the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger, not a USB port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC on the Equal delivers a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My POSH Equal shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell — it jumped from 45% to 90% on its own. What's going on?
The fuel gauge IC on the Equal tracks capacity using a discharge model built around your old cell's characteristics. When you install a new cell with a different internal resistance and discharge curve, the stored model no longer matches reality, so the reported percentage drifts or jumps. Run one complete cycle — discharge the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter will re-map against the new cell. After that single cycle, percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — the phone is only trickle charging now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the Equal defaults to a lower current rate while it checks the new BMS for a valid handshake. Some replacement cells take one full slow charge before the proprietary charge protocol negotiation completes and fast charge is enabled. Plug into the original wall adapter — not a computer USB port — let the phone charge fully at the lower rate without interrupting it, then unplug and replug. Fast charging should activate on the second connection once the handshake is established.
The phone feels warm near the battery area for the first 20 minutes of charging the new cell. Is that a fault?
A new Li-Polymer cell fresh from storage typically has higher internal impedance than a fully conditioned cell. The charge IC on the Equal pushes current into higher resistance during those first cycles, and that resistance converts some energy to heat — which is why the warmth is localised and fades as the cell conditions. As long as the phone is not hot to the touch and the warmth clears within the first 30 minutes of charging, this is within normal range. If the back of the phone stays hot past a full charge completion, check that the replacement cell dimensions — 90.66 x 85.90 x 2.86 mm — match your installed cell exactly, as a thicker cell can press against the back cover and trap heat.
