This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Prixton Siesta cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original power pack when capacity has faded and the vacuum no longer holds a useful charge. Voltage and cell format match the Siesta's motor and BMS requirements directly.

• Siesta platform fit: The Siesta runs a 14.4V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw. This battery matches that voltage and uses the same cell arrangement, so the BMS communicates normally without triggering a fault state on startup.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through multiple charge and discharge passes on the Siesta platform. The BMS held steady cutoff thresholds and the motor received consistent voltage under simulated carpet and hard-floor load conditions.
• Dock charging on the Siesta: Do not leave the Siesta sitting on its charging dock continuously. The Siesta's charger does not always terminate the charge cycle cleanly once full, and sustained trickle current accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Siesta, suction loss often happens well before the battery is actually flat. When the motor is working against a partially blocked filter or a restricted airpath, current draw spikes above the rated level. The BMS responds by pulling back power delivery to protect the cells, and the motor slows even though pack voltage is still above the cutoff threshold. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the Siesta's suction path is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrap on the brush — the motor draws sustained high current to maintain airflow. The BMS trips the output to protect the cells, and the motor stops. After a short rest, cell voltage recovers and the BMS resets, letting the motor start again. Clear the restriction and verify the filter is seated correctly; if the cutout stops, the pack is functioning as expected.
