Fits Prixton Siesta cordless vacuum; replaces original 14.4V battery pack for full restoration of cleaning power.
14.4V nominal with 2600mAh capacity delivers sustained motor voltage under load on this handheld stick vacuum design.
Connector orientation matches Siesta dock contact layout; vertical slot alignment confirmed on charge dock for proper seating.
Bench testing showed BMS accepting full charge cycle without fault codes; motor draw steady under normal suction load.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously when full — cordless vacuum dock chargers maintain trickle current that degrades lithium cells faster than periodic charge-and-remove cycles, reducing overall capacity within weeks.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prixton Siesta — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery for the Prixton Siesta cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces the original power pack when capacity has faded and the vacuum no longer holds a useful charge. Voltage and cell format match the Siesta's motor and BMS requirements directly.

  • Siesta platform fit: The Siesta runs a 14.4V motor rail with a BMS that monitors cell voltage and current draw. This battery matches that voltage and uses the same cell arrangement, so the BMS communicates normally without triggering a fault state on startup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through multiple charge and discharge passes on the Siesta platform. The BMS held steady cutoff thresholds and the motor received consistent voltage under simulated carpet and hard-floor load conditions.
  • Dock charging on the Siesta: Do not leave the Siesta sitting on its charging dock continuously. The Siesta's charger does not always terminate the charge cycle cleanly once full, and sustained trickle current accelerates cell degradation. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the Siesta, suction loss often happens well before the battery is actually flat. When the motor is working against a partially blocked filter or a restricted airpath, current draw spikes above the rated level. The BMS responds by pulling back power delivery to protect the cells, and the motor slows even though pack voltage is still above the cutoff threshold. Clean the filter first — if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-use and then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the Siesta's suction path is restricted — blocked nozzle, clogged filter, or hair wrap on the brush — the motor draws sustained high current to maintain airflow. The BMS trips the output to protect the cells, and the motor stops. After a short rest, cell voltage recovers and the BMS resets, letting the motor start again. Clear the restriction and verify the filter is seated correctly; if the cutout stops, the pack is functioning as expected.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Prixton Siesta loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery indicator still shows charge — is the battery failing?

Not necessarily. When the Siesta's filter is partially blocked, the motor pulls more current than rated to compensate, and the BMS throttles power delivery before the pack voltage actually drops to cutoff. The result looks like battery fade but is usually a filter restriction. Remove and clean the filter, then test again — if suction returns to full strength immediately, the battery is fine.

The Siesta motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds then restarting on its own — what is causing this?

This is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent condition, not a cell failure. Sustained motor strain — from a blocked nozzle, hair-wrapped brush roll, or clogged filter — drives current above the BMS protection threshold, and it shuts the output to protect the cells. Once cell voltage recovers slightly, the BMS resets and the motor restarts. Clear any blockage in the nozzle and brush roll, confirm the filter is clean, and the cutout should stop.

The Siesta ran fine for the first few months but now the charge fades much faster than it used to — what went wrong?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of accelerated capacity fade on the Siesta. If the vacuum sits on the dock between every use, the charger delivers a low-level trickle current after the pack is full, and lithium-ion cells degrade faster under sustained trickle conditions than they do through normal charge cycles. Going forward, charge the battery to full and then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use. Capacity loss already incurred by the original pack is not recoverable, which is why a replacement cell is needed.
