Fits Lenovo E1-L and D450 cordless vacuums, replacing OEM battery packs.
14.4V and 2600mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floors.
Connector mates directly to the E1-L dock with positive-first engagement and mechanical lock tab.
We ran the cell on an E1-L motor load; the BMS held steady current draw without early cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades lithium cells faster than removal after full charge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo E1-L / D450 Cordless Vacuum — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery fits the Lenovo E1-L and D450 cordless vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell pack when the vacuum loses suction early, fails to hold charge, or stops powering on. Capacity figure is taken from the product specification — 37.44Wh total energy.

  • E1-L and D450 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and share an identical battery bay dimension of 69.40 × 37.00 × 37.00mm. The BMS connector pinout matches across both units, so no wiring changes are needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the E1-L platform. The BMS accepted the handshake from the charger without fault codes and maintained stable voltage output under continuous motor load.
  • Dock charging habit on the E1-L: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charge on Li-ion cells accelerates capacity fade. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when motor voltage sags under load before the cell is actually depleted. On the E1-L, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw current beyond its rated envelope. The BMS reads that overcurrent draw and steps down the output voltage to protect the cells — suction drops, but the indicator still shows charge remaining. Clean the filter first, then retest. If suction stays strong through a full cycle after cleaning, the filter was the cause, not the battery.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked nozzle or a clogged HEPA filter — causes the motor to spike current demand sharply. The BMS trips to protect the cells, the vacuum cuts out, and it recovers once the BMS resets after a few seconds of no load. Clear the blockage and check the filter condition. If the cut-outs stop after clearing the restriction, the battery and BMS are functioning correctly — no replacement needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Lenovo E1-L vacuum runs for a short time and then suction just drops off — is this the battery fading or something else?

A clogged filter is the first suspect, not the battery. When airflow is restricted, the motor pulls more current than rated, the BMS throttles voltage output, and suction drops even though charge remains. Clean the filter and run a full cycle. If suction holds strong after cleaning, the battery cell is likely fine — the short run was caused by the restricted draw, not capacity fade.

I left my Lenovo E1-L on the dock between uses every day and now it barely holds charge — what happened?

Continuous dock charging applies a constant trickle charge to the Li-ion cells even after they reach 100%. Over weeks, this causes measurable capacity fade that cannot be reversed by cycling. The fix going forward is to charge the battery fully, remove the vacuum from the dock, and only return it when it needs charging again. A replacement cell will restore original capacity, but the same habit will degrade the new cell at the same rate.

The replacement battery fits the E1-L but the vacuum won't charge — the charger light stays off or flashes an error.

Some Lenovo chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before initiating a charge cycle. If the replacement cell has arrived in a deeply discharged state, the BMS may have locked out to protect the cells and the charger cannot start. Connect the battery to the charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes — some BMS units require a low-current pre-charge to recover from deep discharge before the handshake completes. If the charger light then transitions to a steady charge state, the cell is recovering normally.
