Fits Record STG19, STM21, and BAT19 automatic door operators replacing OEM part numbers 80100505 and 102-019814109.
19.2V Ni-MH pack at 2000mAh capacity sustains full door cycle actuation on battery backup during mains loss.
Connector slides into vertical slot with locking tab on operator housing — orientation marked on pack base.
Bench testing confirmed BMS discharge curve stable across five full cycles with no early cutoff on door load.
After installation, manually trigger a power-fail test during low-traffic hours — backup batteries must complete a full door cycle under load before trusting the system.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Record STG19 / STM 21 / BAT 19 — 19.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (80100505)

This 19.2V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the backup power cell in Record automatic door operators, covering the STG19, STM 21, and BAT 19 platforms. When mains power fails, this battery keeps the door operator running so the door can complete its open or close cycle. Capacity is 38.4Wh as rated by the manufacturer.

  • STG19, STM 21, and BAT 19 compatibility: These three Record door operator models share the same 19.2V battery rail, connector format, and BMS communication protocol — one cell pack covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through simulated mains-fail events and confirmed the BMS hands off to battery backup without trip delay, completing a full door open-and-close cycle under load each time.
  • Post-install verification: After installing the backup battery, manually trigger a power-fail test during a low-traffic period — Record door backup batteries must be tested at installation to confirm they can complete a full door cycle under real motor load before the site returns to normal operation.

Automatic door not completing full open cycle on battery backup

The Record STG19 controller monitors battery voltage during the motor-start surge. If voltage sags below the controller's cutoff threshold at that surge point, the controller halts the cycle mid-stroke as a protection measure. A partially degraded Ni-MH pack may read 19.2V at rest but collapse under load. A fresh replacement pack should hold above 17V during the motor-start draw to allow a full cycle to complete.

Door controller losing its programmed settings after a mains outage

The STG19 controller stores timing, force, and access settings in volatile RAM backed continuously by the backup battery. If that battery has depleted through self-discharge or age, even a brief mains interruption wipes those settings. This failure is separate from whether the door moves — the door may not move at all after reprogramming is lost. Replace the battery, charge it fully for 24 hours, then re-enter the controller's programming sequence before the next power-fail test.

Frequently Asked Questions

The door stops halfway through opening when the power goes out — what causes that?

The Record door operator cuts the cycle if battery voltage drops below its internal threshold during the motor-start surge. A Ni-MH pack that reads fine at rest can collapse under that initial load draw. Replace the battery and charge it for a full 24 hours before retesting — the pack must hold above 17V under motor-start load to complete a full open cycle.

All the door timing and force settings disappeared after a power cut — is that a controller fault?

That points to a depleted backup battery, not a controller fault. The STG19 stores its programmed settings in volatile RAM that the backup battery feeds continuously. When the battery drains through self-discharge, even a short mains interruption clears everything. Replace the battery, allow a full 24-hour charge, then re-enter all settings through the controller's programming sequence.

The door operates on battery backup but moves noticeably slower than normal — is something wrong?

Slower movement on battery backup is normal behaviour for Record door operators. The controller reduces motor speed when running from the backup battery to lower current draw and allow the full open-close cycle to complete on available charge. If the door is also failing to reach the end stop, check battery voltage under load — a healthy pack should sustain above 17V through the full stroke.
