Fits Robomow RK 1000, RK 2000, RK 2000 Pro and replaces OEM part numbers 753-11203, 725-18426, 725-14826, 753-11204, 725-14827.
18.5V 6400mAh lithium-ion pack delivers 118.4Wh to sustain blade motor torque across variable grass density without thermal cutoff.
Slide-in slot connector with orientation key; pack locks flush against the mower chassis with a spring-tab release on the housing.
Ran full discharge cycles on an RK 1000 deck; BMS held steady under normal blade load and showed no early cutoff or voltage sag anomalies.
On first spring mow, if temperatures are below 10°C, bring the pack indoors overnight before use — cold cells raise internal resistance and blade motor inrush can trigger BMS protection.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Robomow RK 1000 / RK 2000 Series — 18.5V Li-ion Replacement Battery (753-11203)

This 18.5V 6400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Robomow RK 1000, RK 2000, and RK 2000 Pro robotic lawn mowers. It matches OEM part numbers 753-11203, 753-11204, 725-18426, 725-14826, and 725-14827. Capacity is 118.4Wh — same as the factory specification.

  • RK 1000 and RK 2000 platform fit: These models share the same 18.5V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery covers the full range listed — no adapter or wiring change needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated blade-motor start loads on the RK platform. The BMS held steady through inrush current spikes on clean turf and flagged thermal cutoff correctly under sustained high-draw conditions — no false trips on flat ground.
  • Seasonal storage tip: Before the first mow of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if air temperature is below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance, and the blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS before the pack warms up.

BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load

The RK series blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting dense or wet grass. If the pack voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold during that inrush spike, the BMS shuts the pack down as a protection event — not a fault. This is more likely in the first five charge cycles before the cells have conditioned. Let the mower sit for five minutes, then restart — if the cutoff stops happening after a few cycles, the cells were still conditioning. If it persists beyond cycle five, check that the mowing zone boundary isn't set across a consistently wet patch.

Charger showing a fault light after the mower sat unused all winter

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly over months. If the pack voltage drops below approximately 14V during long storage, the charger's acceptance circuit rejects it as a dead or damaged cell — this triggers the fault indicator. Place the battery in a warm room (above 15°C) for two hours, then reconnect it to the charger. Most chargers will then see the voltage recover slightly and begin a trickle-charge recovery cycle. If the charger still shows a fault after 30 minutes on reconnect, check terminal voltage with a multimeter — if it reads below 12V, the pack has deep-discharged past recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Robomow stops mid-row then starts again after a few minutes — is the battery failing?

This is thermal protection doing its job, not a sign the battery is failing. The blade motor generates heat under sustained load, and if the pack core temperature climbs past the BMS threshold, it pauses output until it cools. A five-minute rest is usually enough. If it happens on every run regardless of grass conditions, check that the mower's base station charging contacts are clean — a poor charge connection leaves the pack slightly undercharged each cycle, which worsens the sag under load.

The new battery feels warmer than my old one during the first few charges — is that normal?

Yes — new Li-ion cells run slightly warmer for the first four to five cycles while the electrode chemistry stabilises. We measured a moderate surface temperature increase on this pack during conditioning cycles on the bench; it normalised by cycle five. If the pack is still running noticeably hot after six full charge-discharge cycles, check that the battery bay vents on the mower body are clear of grass clippings, as blocked airflow traps heat against the pack.

The mower cuts fine in summer but loses power noticeably on cold spring mornings — what's happening?

Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below 10°C because internal resistance rises as temperature drops. The blade motor's startup current draw hits a pack that can't deliver its full rated output, so the mower runs sluggish or the BMS trips early. Bring the battery indoors the night before a cold-morning mow session and install it just before use. At 18.5V fully charged and above 15°C cell temperature, the pack will deliver its full 6400mAh capacity without the cold-resistance penalty.
