Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Worx WG795E / Landroid WG795E — 28V Li-ion Replacement Battery (WA3565)
This 28V 2500mAh (70Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Worx WG795E and WG795E Type 2 cordless lawn mower. It fits the blade motor circuit on all listed WG795E variants and covers OEM references WA3565 TYPE 2, 50022580, 50022713, 50026980, and 50029621. Check your current pack for any of those part numbers before ordering.
- WG795E platform fit: All WG795E variants share the same 28V connector housing and BMS handshake protocol. The Type 2 revision carried a firmware update on the charger side but kept the same cell specification, so one battery covers both generations.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and load cycles on a WG795E deck motor. The BMS held correct cutoff voltage under simulated high-draw blade starts and returned accurate state-of-charge to the charger without fault codes.
- Seasonal storage tip: Before first use of the season, bring the battery indoors overnight if temperatures are below 10°C. Cold Li-ion cells have higher internal resistance, and the blade motor inrush current on a cold pack can trip the BMS before the mower even takes a full cut.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The WG795E blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting wet or overgrown grass. If the BMS detects current spikes beyond its threshold — typically caused by the motor stalling momentarily against dense material — it will cut power to protect the cells. This is not a battery fault; it is the protection circuit doing its job. Slow the mower's forward speed through dense patches to keep inrush current below the BMS trip point.
Charger shows fault light after mower sat unused all winter
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. A pack left in the garage over winter can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 18–20V on 28V packs — causing the charger to flag a fault rather than initiate a charge cycle. Place the battery in a warm room (above 15°C) for two hours and reinsert it into the charger. If the fault clears, the charger has re-accepted the pack; if not, check cell voltage with a multimeter at the pack terminals and confirm it reads above 20V before assuming a failed cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My WG795E cuts out halfway through a row, then starts again after a minute — what's happening?
This is thermal protection activating. The blade motor generates heat under sustained load, and once the pack's thermal sensor hits its cutoff threshold, the BMS shuts output until the cells cool. Allow a five-minute rest with the battery removed from the mower, then resume. If it trips repeatedly on normal grass, check that the cutting deck vents are clear of packed grass clippings.
The charger accepted the new battery but the mower loses power noticeably faster than I expected in the first few uses — is the pack faulty?
No — new Li-ion cells typically need five full charge and discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. Internal resistance is slightly elevated on fresh cells, which can make the first few charges feel shorter than expected. Run the mower until the low-charge indicator activates, then charge fully, and repeat that five times. Capacity will stabilise at the rated 2500mAh after the conditioning cycles are complete.
The mower bogs down and nearly stalls when I push into long grass, even on a full charge — is this a battery issue?
Dense or wet grass causes the blade motor to draw peak inrush current far above its normal operating level. If that spike exceeds what the BMS allows, output voltage sags and the motor loses torque — the pack itself is not damaged. Reduce forward speed so the blade stays at full RPM before contacting new material. If voltage sag persists on short grass, measure pack voltage under load at the connector terminals; a healthy pack should hold above 24V during cutting.
