Fits Roche Accu-Chek Inform blood glucose meter, replaces OEM part 1UF103450P-RV.
Delivers 3.7V at 1800mAh capacity, powering display and testing functions through repeated glucose measurements.
Installs as a single-cell lithium-ion pack in the meter's sealed battery compartment with flat connector orientation.
We bench tested this cell at 3.7V startup and confirmed BMS acceptance through a full discharge cycle on the Accu-Chek Inform platform.
After installation, let the device complete its power-on self-test without interruption — this meter runs BMS verification at startup, and stopping mid-sequence triggers a false low-battery alarm that only clears after a full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Roche Accu-Chek Inform Blood Glucose Monitor — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1UF103450P-RV)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-ion cell replaces the OEM battery in the Roche Accu-Chek Inform blood glucose monitoring device. It powers the meter's display, test strip reader, and onboard processor. Voltage and capacity match the original spec: 3.7V and 6.66Wh.

  • Accu-Chek Inform platform fit: The Inform meter uses a fixed 3.7V single-cell architecture with a BMS that validates cell chemistry at startup. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector orientation, so the BMS handshake completes without a fault flag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Inform's startup self-test sequence and monitored BMS response across charge and discharge. The protection circuit handled both the low-draw display load and the brief current spike during test strip analysis without tripping.
  • Post-swap self-test handling: After installing this cell, let the device complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The Inform runs a BMS verification pass at boot — cutting power mid-sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot cycle.

Why the Accu-Chek Inform alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge

The Inform's BMS uses a learned capacity model calibrated to the original OEM cell chemistry. A new replacement cell hasn't yet passed the meter's internal capacity verification threshold, so the alarm triggers even when the cell is fully charged. This isn't a fault with the cell — it's the BMS comparing measured impedance against a stored OEM baseline it hasn't updated yet. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the BMS recalibrates; the alarm clears on its own after that cycle completes.

Accu-Chek Inform not powering on after the cell sat in storage

Lithium-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the Inform's BMS enters a protection lockout and blocks startup entirely. The device will show no response — no display, no boot screen. Place the battery on a compatible external charger to bring the cell voltage above 3.0V before reinserting it into the meter. Once above that threshold, the BMS releases the lockout and the Inform boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Accu-Chek Inform shows a low battery warning straight after I put in a fully charged replacement — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The Inform's BMS stores a capacity baseline from the original OEM cell and flags any new cell that hasn't yet matched it. Run one full charge-discharge cycle in the meter and the BMS updates its reference. The warning clears after that cycle — no fault, no return needed.

The Accu-Chek Inform powers off mid-test during the first few uses after a battery swap — what's causing that?

In the first ten cycles, a new lithium-ion cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The Inform's load profile during strip analysis pulls a brief current spike, and the BMS trips the protection circuit when impedance is outside its expected window. This settles as the cell cycles. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles before clinical use, and verify the cell reaches 4.2V at the end of each charge.

The charge indicator on the Accu-Chek Inform won't reach 100% on the first charge with the new battery — should I be concerned?

No. The Inform's charge IC applies a conservative termination current on an unrecognised cell to avoid overcharging an unknown chemistry. It stops short of 100% on the first pass. Discharge the meter normally through a day of testing, then run a full overnight charge. The charge IC adjusts its termination threshold after that first full cycle and the indicator reaches 100% from the second charge onward.
