The Rollei DA10's battery indicator maps voltage thresholds to its own discharge curve table stored in firmware. A new replacement cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged OEM cell the camera was last calibrated against. One full charge-discharge cycle through the camera body resets the reference point, and the indicator reads correctly from the second cycle onward.
