Fits Rollei DA10, DB60, DP60, DX63 digital cameras; replaces original 3.7V Li-ion pack.
3.7V, 850mAh capacity delivers 3.15Wh energy for full-day shooting without midday recharge stops.
Connector slides into camera body slot with positive contact forward; locking tab seats flush.
We bench-tested this cell in the DA10 body across five charge cycles; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion without fault display.
On first use, run one full charge cycle through the DA10 body charger before extended shooting — Rollei's firmware maps battery capacity on initial load cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rollei DA10 / DB60 / DP60 / DX63 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 850mAh Li-ion battery fits the Rollei DA10, DB60, DP60, and DX63 compact digital cameras, along with two additional compatible models. It matches the original cell's voltage rail and physical footprint — 40.20 × 35.30 × 6.10mm — so it seats correctly in the battery compartment without modification.

  • DA10 / DB60 / DP60 / DX63 platform fit: These models share the same battery cavity dimensions and 3.7V power rail, which is why one cell covers all of them. The connector polarity and BMS communication protocol are consistent across this Rollei compact series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on camera-class draw loads. The BMS held stable cutoff at low-voltage threshold and accepted charge via both OEM charger and camera-body charging paths without fault flags.
  • First-use charge cycle on camera body: Insert the new cell and run one full charge cycle through the camera body itself before heavy shooting. Some Rollei compact BMS systems calibrate the battery-remaining indicator against the new cell's discharge curve only after this initial in-body charge cycle.

Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

The Rollei DA10's battery indicator maps voltage thresholds to its own discharge curve table stored in firmware. A new replacement cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged OEM cell the camera was last calibrated against. This mismatch causes the indicator to read the cell as empty when it still holds usable charge. One full charge-discharge cycle through the camera body resets the reference point, and the indicator reads correctly from the second cycle onward.

Battery percentage jumping erratically during a shoot

Erratic percentage readings on compact cameras like the DA10 are a voltage-mapping issue, not a defective cell. The camera's fuel gauge samples terminal voltage and compares it to a fixed discharge curve — when the new cell's curve doesn't match the stored table exactly, the percentage can jump several steps up or down between shots. Flash recharge draws a short high-current pulse that drops terminal voltage sharply, which the firmware can misread as a sudden capacity loss. Complete two full charge cycles in-camera, then verify the display stabilises above 3.6V at what the camera reports as 20% remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DA10 says the battery is dead as soon as I turn the camera on, but the replacement cell is freshly charged — what's happening?

The camera's voltage threshold table is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell, and a new Li-ion cell sits at a slightly higher resting voltage when full. This makes the firmware misread the charge state and trip the low-battery indicator prematurely. Put the replacement in the camera, connect the OEM charger, and run one complete charge cycle through the camera body. After that cycle the indicator maps correctly to the new cell.

The battery percentage on my DA10 drops suddenly by 20–30% the moment the flash fires — is the cell faulty?

This is a flash capacitor recharge issue, not a faulty cell. The capacitor pulls a high current burst to reload between shots, which briefly sags terminal voltage. The camera's fuel gauge reads that voltage sag as a large capacity drop rather than a transient load event. Run two full charge-discharge cycles in-camera; if the jump remains larger than 10% at what the display shows as above 50%, check that the cell resting voltage reads at least 3.85V with a multimeter after a full charge.

My shot count on the DA10 is noticeably lower in cold weather compared to indoors with the same battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells lose usable capacity as temperature drops because lithium-ion mobility through the electrolyte slows, raising internal resistance and causing the BMS to hit its low-voltage cutoff sooner. At around 5°C a 850mAh cell can deliver noticeably fewer shots than at room temperature. Keep a second charged cell in an inside jacket pocket and swap it in when the cold cell cuts out — it will recover some capacity once warmed back to above 15°C.
