Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Saiet Select — 3.7V Li-ion 1000mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V lithium-ion cell rated at 1000mAh (3.7Wh), sized at 62.02 × 37.89 × 4.37mm. It fits the Saiet Select smartphone. Use it to replace a cell that no longer holds charge or fails to power the device through a normal day.
- Saiet Select fit: The Select uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a fixed connector footprint. This cell matches that voltage rail and physical envelope — the connector seats flush and the BMS communicates over the same two data lines the original cell used.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed the BMS reported state-of-charge correctly to the host device, and verified charge termination triggered at 4.2V without thermal event.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use after fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before fast charge current is applied.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under screen or modem load than the IC expects, so the device sees the rail drop below the shutdown threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell. One full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to relearn the actual curve. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop.
Device will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout to prevent damage and the device will not respond to the power button or show a charge indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, at which point normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Saiet Select shows the wrong battery percentage after I fitted the new cell — it jumped from 45% to 15% with no warning. What is causing that?
The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to the discharge curve of your old cell. The new cell has a different internal resistance and voltage slope, so the IC's stored curve no longer matches what the cell is actually doing, and percentage readings become erratic. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% — no interruptions, no fast charge on that first cycle. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and readings stabilise.
The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after the swap, but not when it was using the old cell. Is something wrong?
A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes a slightly elevated voltage across that resistance during constant-current phase — that converts to heat. It is normal for the first two or three cycles and drops off as the cell's impedance settles. Watch for heat that is uncomfortable to touch or charging that stops early; either would indicate a different problem. If warmth fades by the third charge, the cell is behaving correctly.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone now only charges slowly even with the original fast charger. How do I fix it?
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs default to standard current until the BMS handshake completes and the IC confirms the new cell's charge parameters. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the fast charger. If fast charge still does not engage, restart the phone while connected to the charger — this forces the USB-PD negotiation to restart from scratch and usually restores fast charge mode.
