Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Ativ Pro XQ700T1C Series — 7.5V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AA-PLZN4NP)
This 7.5V Li-Polymer battery replaces the AA-PLZN4NP unit in the Samsung Ativ Pro hybrid tablet-laptop. It fits the XQ700T1C, XE700T1C, XQ700T1C-A52, and over 24 additional Ativ Pro variants. Capacity is 6540mAh (49.05Wh), matching the original specification.
- Ativ Pro XQ700T1C and XE700T1C compatibility: These models share the same 7.5V power rail, slim 6.24mm cell profile, and AA-PLZN4NP connector pinout. The BMS handshake is identical across the range, so one cell serves the full series without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, load, and BMS communication checks on the XQ700T1C platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported voltage correctly, and charge termination triggered at the expected threshold with no error flags.
- Post-install calibration on the Ativ Pro: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false poor-health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the AA-PLZN4NP replacement
The Ativ Pro BIOS reads health data from EEPROM stored on the original cell. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM data does not match the fresh chemistry, so the BIOS flags poor health before any real degradation has occurred. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration gap. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge. After two to three cycles the BIOS learn routine updates its baseline and the health warning clears.
Ativ Pro shutting down abruptly while the gauge still shows 20–30% remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. Under combined CPU and display load the voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts, and the BMS triggers a hard cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. It is not a defective cell — it is a mismatch between the stored curve and the new chemistry. Force two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles with no interruption, then charge fully each time. After those cycles the fuel gauge IC recalculates its curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Ativ Pro shows the replacement battery as 0% and won't start charging — what's happening?
The BIOS has not yet recognised the new cell's EEPROM signature and is holding charge enable low until it completes a handshake. Plug in the charger, close the lid, and leave it on AC for 20 minutes without pressing the power button. This gives the BMS time to complete the initial communication pass and release the charge circuit. Once charging begins, let it run uninterrupted to 100% before the first use.
System information shows the wrong Wh rating — it says 44Wh but the battery should be 49Wh. Is the cell faulty?
The Wh figure shown in system information is read from the EEPROM on the old cell's firmware data, not measured from the new cell's actual chemistry. The 49.05Wh rating in the product data is the real capacity of this AA-PLZN4NP replacement. After two full calibration cycles the fuel gauge IC measures the actual cell and the reported Wh figure updates to reflect the true capacity. No action beyond running the calibration cycles is needed.
The Ativ Pro charges fine but the battery percentage jumps erratically — drops from 60% to 30% in seconds, then climbs back up.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC calibration issue — the IC is interpolating capacity from an old discharge curve that does not match the new cell's chemistry. Each sudden jump is the gauge snapping to a corrected estimate as real voltage data comes in. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles with no manual shutdown or sleep interruption, charging fully to 100% each time. After the second full cycle the IC has enough real data to track the new cell smoothly and the jumps stop.
