Fits Samsung DIGI-MAX V4, V5, V6, V50 and one additional model; replaces SB-L1437 and SLB-1437 battery packs.
3.7V nominal, 1500mAh capacity delivers 5.55Wh — matches the original cell output for standard shooting and flash recycling on this camera body.
Connector seats flush into the camera battery door slot with a locking tab that latches on insertion; no adapter required.
We ran a full charge cycle in the OEM charger, then in the camera body itself; the BMS accepted the cell without error codes and displayed accurate capacity remaining.
On first install, charge this cell fully using the camera body charger before extended shooting — the Samsung BMS requires an internal charge cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve to battery-remaining display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung DIGI-MAX V4 / V5 / V6 / V50 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SB-L1437)

This 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion cell replaces the OEM SB-L1437 / SLB-1437 battery in Samsung DIGI-MAX V4, V5, V6, and V50 compact digital cameras. It fits the same physical slot and connects to the same battery contacts. Capacity matches the original — 1500mAh, 5.55Wh.

  • DIGI-MAX V-series compatibility: The V4, V5, V6, and V50 share the SB-L1437 form factor, contact layout, and voltage rail. One cell fits the whole line because Samsung used a common battery bay across these compact models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the DIGI-MAX charge and discharge cycle. The BMS accepted the cell, voltage held steady across the discharge curve, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
  • First-use charge cycle for DIGI-MAX cameras: Insert the cell and charge it fully inside the camera body or OEM charger before your first shoot. Some DIGI-MAX units need one complete charge cycle from the camera itself before the battery-remaining indicator reports accurate levels.

Flash recycling slowing down near the end of a charge on the DIGI-MAX V series

The built-in flash on DIGI-MAX compact cameras draws a sharp burst of current to recharge the capacitor between shots. As the cell approaches the bottom of its discharge curve — typically below 3.5V — that recharge current sags. The result is longer wait times between flash-enabled shots, not a dead battery. If recycling slows noticeably, check the battery indicator. Charging to full restores normal flash recycling speed immediately.

Battery percentage jumping on the DIGI-MAX display after fitting a new cell

The DIGI-MAX voltage-to-percentage mapping was calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A new replacement cell — even at the correct 3.7V nominal — may discharge at a slightly different rate across its voltage range. The camera's indicator reads voltage, not actual charge state, so it can jump when the new cell's curve diverges from what the firmware expects. Run two or three full charge-discharge cycles through the camera body and the indicator will stabilise as the BMS learns the new cell's behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DIGI-MAX V4 shows a dead battery icon immediately after inserting the new cell — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily. The DIGI-MAX BMS sometimes rejects a new cell on first install because it reads an unrecognised charge state rather than a bad cell. Insert the battery and charge it fully inside the camera body or OEM charger without powering the camera on first. Once the charge cycle completes, power on — the camera should accept the cell and display a full indicator. If the icon persists after a full charge, check that the battery contacts are clean and making firm contact.

Shot count feels much lower than expected — flash fires maybe 20 times and the camera dies.

Flash, continuous autofocus, and the LCD together draw significantly more current than the spec shot count assumes. That figure is calculated under controlled conditions with flash off or at low frequency — real-world mixed shooting with flash enabled on every shot can cut that count sharply. The cell capacity is 1500mAh, which is correct. To extend shots per charge, reduce flash use where ambient light allows and dim the LCD if the camera offers that setting.

The DIGI-MAX battery indicator dropped from full to half in a few shots, then stayed at half for a long time — what's happening?

This is a voltage-threshold mapping issue, not a defective cell. The DIGI-MAX firmware maps specific voltage levels to the bar segments on its indicator. A new cell holds voltage higher for longer in the middle of its discharge range, so the indicator stalls at half while the cell still has significant charge remaining. The drop from full to half looks steep because the camera's upper threshold is crossed quickly on a fresh cell. Run two full charge-discharge cycles and the display will track more evenly against actual remaining capacity.
