Fits Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-I9100) and replaces OEM part EB-L102GBK, EB-L1M8GVU, GH43-03539A, EB-L1A2GBU.
3.7V 1300mAh cell restores talk and standby time on aged originals that no longer hold adequate charge.
Connector seats flat into the battery slot; verify the contact pins align before sliding the pack fully home.
We bench tested this cell on a GT-I9100 with a fresh fuel gauge cycle — BMS accepted charge without voltage overshoot.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without opening apps — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before normal operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy S II — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB-L102GBK)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone. It fits the GT-I9100 and related Galaxy S2 variants that use the EB-L102GBK cell. The battery slides into the original compartment and connects via the same three-contact puck on the rear housing.

  • GT-I9100 and Galaxy S2 variants: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and contact pinout. The EB-L102GBK also cross-references as EB-L1A2GBU and GH43-03539A — Samsung used multiple part numbers across production runs, but all draw from the same 3.7V nominal cell spec and BMS handshake.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a GT-I9100 unit under screen-on load with Wi-Fi and mobile data active. The BMS held stable cutoff thresholds and the charge IC accepted a full CC/CV cycle without tripping an error state.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The Galaxy S II's fuel gauge IC was calibrated against the original cell's discharge curve. A full slow cycle lets it re-map against this new cell before you resume normal charging patterns.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy S II after a cell swap

The GT-I9100 runs a combined modem and display load that spikes current draw hard at 20–30% reported charge. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can report 25% while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold under that spike. The BMS reads a real undervoltage condition and kills the rail instantly — the OS never sees it coming. One full discharge-to-cutoff cycle, followed by a slow charge to 100%, resets the coulomb counter and tightens the IC's voltage-to-percentage mapping.

Galaxy S II not powering on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If this battery shipped or sat unused for several months, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the threshold where most BMS circuits lock out to prevent cell damage. The Galaxy S II will show nothing on screen, and a standard wall charge will not recover it. Connect the battery to a USB charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before pressing power; most BMS circuits have a trickle recovery path that accepts low current at voltages above 2.0V and will unlock the main charge circuit once the cell climbs back above 2.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Galaxy S II show the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC in the GT-I9100 tracks charge using a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell has a slightly different curve, so the IC reads voltage against old data and reports the wrong percentage. Run one full discharge — screen on, no charging — down to automatic shutdown, then charge slowly to 100% without interruption. That single cycle resets the counter mapping against the new cell.

My Galaxy S II shuts off instantly under heavy use even when the battery shows 25% — what's happening?

This is a voltage cliff, not a gauge error. Under combined modem, screen, and Wi-Fi load, current draw spikes hard enough to pull the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS can log a warning. The fuel gauge was still reporting 25% because it hadn't recalibrated yet. Complete one full slow discharge-and-charge cycle first, then check — if shutdown still happens, verify the battery contacts on the rear housing are clean and making full pressure contact.

The Galaxy S II feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a small amount of extra heat during the first few CC/CV cycles. This is expected and typically resolves after two or three full charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops. If the phone is hot to the touch — not just warm — remove it from the charger and let it cool before continuing. Warmth that persists past the third full charge cycle points to a contact alignment issue; check that the battery is seated flat with no lateral play.
