Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Notebook 9 13.3" — 7.6V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AA-PBUN2LT)
This is a 7.6V, 3900mAh (29.64Wh) Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Notebook 9 13.3-inch ultrabook. It fits the NP900X3L series, including NP900X3L-U03 and NP900X3L-U03HK variants. It replaces OEM part AA-PBUN2LT directly.
- NP900X3L series fit: All NP900X3L variants share the same slim Li-Polymer cell format, 7.6V two-cell architecture, and SMBus connector pinout. The BMS communicates over that same bus across the entire model line, so one cell fits every unit in the series.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in an NP900X3L and confirmed the BMS handshake initialised correctly, charge cycles completed without interruption, and the fuel gauge IC began tracking state-of-charge from the first cycle.
- First-cycle calibration on the NP900X3L: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the NP900X3L's BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell's actual capacity and clears the false health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after swap on the NP900X3L
Samsung's battery health indicator on the NP900X3L reads EEPROM data written by the original cell over its charge history. A fresh cell arrives with no cycle data, so the BIOS flags it as degraded before it has ever been used. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a data mismatch. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the learn cycle and rewrites that EEPROM record. After two to three full cycles the health indicator will display correctly.
Notebook 9 shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge is still mapping state-of-charge using the old cell's discharge profile, so it reads 20–30% at a voltage point that is actually close to cutoff. Under combined CPU and display load, that remaining voltage drops sharply and the laptop shuts down before the gauge reaches zero. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles without interruption. By the third cycle the fuel gauge IC will track the new cell's curve accurately and the early shutdowns will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Samsung Notebook 9 is showing the replacement battery as "unknown" or 0% in Windows — what causes that?
The fuel gauge IC on the NP900X3L reads chemical identity and cycle history from the cell's EEPROM on first contact. A new cell has no prior history written, so Windows reports it as unknown or 0% until the controller has enough data to calculate state-of-charge. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle completes, Windows will register the battery correctly.
Why does the Notebook 9 charge stop at 80% and refuse to go higher after fitting this cell?
Samsung's battery management firmware on several NP900X3L units includes a charge limit mode — sometimes called "Battery Life Extender" — that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress. This is a BIOS-controlled setting, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open Samsung Settings (or Samsung Battery Manager if installed), find the battery charge limit toggle, and switch it off. The charge will then run to 100%.
System information on the Notebook 9 shows the wrong Wh rating — it says something lower than 29.64Wh after swap. Is the cell faulty?
The Wh figure shown in system info comes from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the rated design capacity at manufacture. On some replacement cells that value reflects a conservative factory rating rather than the actual usable chemistry. The measured capacity we confirmed on the bench matches the 29.64Wh spec in the product data. If the discrepancy concerns you, check the figure again after three full calibration cycles — the fuel gauge recalculates and updates the reported value as it learns the real discharge curve.
