Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung P35 XVM 1600 II — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SSB-P30LS)
This is a 14.8V 4400mAh (65.12Wh) Li-ion battery for the Samsung P35 XVM 1600 II and related P35/P30 series notebooks. It replaces OEM part numbers SSB-P30LS, SSB-P30LS/C, SSB-P30LS/E, and SSB-P30LS12/E. The battery slots into the standard P35/P30 bay and connects via the original multi-pin connector.
- P35 and P30 series fit: The P35, P35-5R2, P30 XVM 1500, and over 20 additional Samsung models in this lineup share the same 14.8V four-cell architecture and identical connector pinout. The BMS handshake uses the same SMBus protocol across the full range, so one cell works across all those configurations.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a P35 platform and confirmed the BMS completes charge negotiation without fault codes. The protection circuit trips correctly at low-voltage cutoff and resets cleanly on reconnect.
- First-cycle calibration on the P35: After fitting this battery, run the laptop on battery alone until it hibernates at low charge, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The Samsung P35 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers embedded in the battery pack — not from live cell voltage. When a new cell is fitted, those registers still carry the degraded values written by the old pack. The BIOS flags the battery as poor or unknown because it is comparing the new cell against stale cycle-count and full-charge-capacity data. Running one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by a full uninterrupted charge overwrites those registers with accurate values from the new chemistry. After that cycle, the health indicator should clear and report correctly.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on the P35
This is a voltage-cliff failure — not a gauge error. Under combined CPU and display load, cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC can track, and the pack hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the OS percentage reaches zero. The gauge IC needs two or three full calibration cycles against the new cell before its discharge curve model becomes accurate. Run three complete discharge-to-cutoff and full-charge cycles, and the reported percentage at shutdown should converge to below 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Samsung P35 shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" in Windows — what's wrong?
This is an EEPROM handshake issue. The battery controller hasn't completed its initial communication with the BIOS on a new cell, so Windows receives no valid state-of-charge data. Remove the AC adapter, hold the power button for 15 seconds with the battery fitted, then reconnect AC and power on — this resets the SMBus handshake and lets the BIOS initialise the new pack from scratch.
The P35 fuel gauge jumps erratically — showing 60%, then 40%, then 75% within minutes — is the battery faulty?
The fuel gauge IC on the P35 builds its discharge curve model over the first few charge cycles. A brand-new cell has a different internal resistance profile from the worn cell it replaces, so the IC's existing model is wrong and produces wild readings. Run three full uninterrupted discharge-to-hibernate and charge-to-100% cycles without partial top-ups in between. By cycle three, the gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the readings stabilise.
Windows is showing this replacement battery as 48Wh when the spec says 65Wh — is it the wrong battery?
The Wh figure Windows displays is pulled from the battery's EEPROM design-capacity register, which reflects the rated value the original Samsung firmware wrote to the pack — not the actual chemistry in the replacement cell. The physical capacity is 65.12Wh; the EEPROM value is a stored constant that does not update automatically. To confirm actual capacity, run a full discharge cycle and check the "last full charge capacity" value in Windows Battery Report (run `powercfg /batteryreport` in an admin command prompt).
