Fits Samsung SCH-W2013 and GT-B9388 smartphones; replaces OEM battery EB645247LL and EB645247LU.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1800mAh — delivers 6.66Wh total energy to power the modem, display, and processor during typical use cycles.
Connector slides straight into the original battery slot; locking tabs on both sides confirm full seating before the cover closes.
We tested this cell against the OEM discharge curve at 500mA draw; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage stable through mid-range loads.
On first full cycle after installation, let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate by completing one discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge without interruption — the phone's coulomb counter was tuned to the original cell and needs this baseline to report accurate percentage afterward.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SCH-W2013 / GT-B9388 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (EB645247LL)

This is a 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Samsung SCH-W2013 and GT-B9388 smartphones. It replaces OEM part numbers EB645247LL and EB645247LU. Fit this battery when the original cell no longer holds charge or causes unexpected shutdowns.

  • SCH-W2013 and GT-B9388 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The 46.50 × 51.93 × 6.00mm footprint matches the OEM cavity without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SCH-W2013 and monitored the BMS communication line. The protection circuit responded correctly to cutoff thresholds at both ends of the voltage range, and charge acceptance was normal across the full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after install: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated state-of-charge reading.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SCH-W2013 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage drop under modem and screen load than the IC expects, so it reads 25% state-of-charge right up until the cell voltage collapses. The fix is one full discharge-to-shutdown cycle followed by an uninterrupted full charge — this resets the coulomb counter baseline. After that cycle, the percentage readings track the actual cell state correctly.

Phone warm near the battery compartment on the first charge after replacement

A new cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the initial CC phase. This is normal and tapers off after the first two or three full cycles as impedance drops. If the device stays warm well into the CV phase or gets hot to the touch, remove it from charge and check that the battery contacts are seated cleanly — a misaligned contact creates resistance that compounds heat. Warmth that disappears by cycle three is expected; sustained heat is a seating issue.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SCH-W2013 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage — is the cell dead?

It is not dead — the BMS has locked the cell out because voltage dropped below 2.5V per cell during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC needs time to trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold before the phone will respond. Once voltage climbs above 3.0V the BMS releases, the phone will boot normally, and a full charge cycle will bring it to rated capacity.

The GT-B9388 is reporting battery percentage jumping around erratically — 60%, then 45%, then 55% within a few minutes — what's causing this?

The fuel gauge IC on the GT-B9388 uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the previous cell's charge curve, and after a swap it has no accurate reference point yet. The erratic jumps are the IC making large corrections as it samples the new cell's actual voltage against its outdated model. Run one complete discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge to full without interruption — this gives the coulomb counter a full sweep to recalibrate against. After that single cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working on the SCH-W2013 after fitting the replacement cell — the phone only charges slowly now — why?

Samsung's charge protocol negotiates fast charge parameters between the charge IC and the battery BMS on the first connection. A new BMS sometimes fails that handshake on cycle one and the IC defaults to standard 5V slow charge as a fallback. Disconnect the charger, power the phone off completely, then reconnect — a cold handshake attempt usually resolves it. If slow charge persists beyond the second cycle, confirm you are using the original Samsung charger, as third-party adapters often fail to assert the correct voltage step that triggers fast charge negotiation.
