Fits Samsung Galaxy J7 SM-J7109, SM-J7108, and 2016 models; replaces OEM battery EB-BJ710CBN, EB-BJ710CBE, GH43-04599A, EB-BJ710CBC, EB-BJ710CBA.
Nominal voltage 3.9V, 3000mAh capacity delivers 11.7Wh — restores full charge cycles on aging Galaxy J7 units that show sudden shutdowns or percentage drift.
Connector slides straight into the stock slot with standard Samsung polarity alignment; no adapter or modification needed for this phone generation.
We cycled this cell on a Galaxy J7 motherboard; the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake without fault codes and held voltage stable through full discharge.
On first charge after installation, disable any fast-charge modes for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 — 3.9V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BJ710CBN)

This is a 3000mAh, 3.9V lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 series. It fits the SM-J7109, SM-J7108, Galaxy J7 6 Duos TD-LTE, and related variants. It replaces OEM part numbers EB-BJ710CBN, EB-BJ710CBE, EB-BJ710CBC, EB-BJ710CBA, and GH43-04599A.

  • J7 2016 family compatibility: The SM-J7108, SM-J7109, and Galaxy J7 6 Duos variants share the same battery bay geometry, flex connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. All draw from the same 3.9V nominal rail, so one cell covers the full compatibility list without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a J7 2016 unit. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags, and voltage stayed stable under combined display and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the J7 2016 after a battery swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff earlier than the old calibration expects, so the phone shuts down before the reported percentage reaches zero. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge from 100% down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted — this resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve.

USB fast charge not activating after fitting the replacement cell

Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol requires the charge IC to negotiate with the BMS before enabling high-current charge. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS may not complete that handshake on the first cycle, leaving the phone on standard 5V/1A charging only. This is not a hardware fault. Disconnect the charger, reboot the phone, then reconnect — the charge IC renegotiates the protocol and fast charge activates at the start of the next session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My J7 2016 keeps shutting off around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell bad?

The cell is not bad. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old battery's discharge curve and has not yet mapped the new one. When cell voltage drops below the old threshold, the phone shuts down even though charge remains. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% — the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the early shutdowns stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery area for the first few charges after the swap — should I be concerned?

A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher impedance until it's been cycled a few times. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, which generates more heat than you'd see on a broken-in cell. It should normalise within two to three full charge cycles. If warmth continues past three cycles or the phone shows a temperature warning on-screen, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the flex cable is not pinched.

My J7 2016 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what now?

A lithium-polymer cell stored uncharged will self-discharge below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent cell damage. The phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Connect a known-good charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, at which point the phone will show a low-battery screen and resume normal charging.
