Fits Samsung ST50, ST500, ST550, TL100 and eight other Samsung compact camera models, replacing OEM battery SLB-07A.
This 3.7V, 720mAh lithium-ion cell delivers the same power specification as the original Samsung pack for full camera operation.
Connector slides straight into the camera battery slot with a single locking tab — no modification needed.
We bench-tested this cell in an ST50 body; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held voltage stable through a full discharge cycle.
On first use, run one complete charge cycle through the camera body itself before extended shooting — Samsung's battery-remaining display needs this cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve accurately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung ST50 / ST500 / ST550 / TL100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-07A)

The SLB-07A is a 3.7V, 720mAh Li-ion cell that fits a range of Samsung compact cameras including the ST50, ST500, ST550, and TL100. It slots into the same battery compartment as the original and draws from the same voltage rail. Capacity figure is taken directly from product specifications — 2.66Wh total energy.

  • ST50 / ST500 / ST550 / TL100 compatibility: These models share the same 3.7V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell works across all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge on the ST50 body. The BMS accepted the cell, reported charge state correctly, and held voltage above 3.5V through the bulk of the discharge curve.
  • First-charge protocol on the ST50: Run the initial charge inside the camera body rather than a third-party external charger — the ST50's BMS performs a handshake during in-body charging that calibrates the battery-remaining indicator for accurate shot count display.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the ST50 display

Samsung's compact camera firmware maps battery percentage against the original cell's discharge curve. A fresh replacement cell — even with identical voltage — can sit slightly outside that curve, especially in the mid-range between 3.6V and 3.8V. The indicator reads the voltage directly and converts it, so any deviation from the expected curve shows up as a jump or sudden drop. Running two full charge-discharge cycles in the camera body allows the BMS to refine its threshold mapping and stabilise the display.

Camera showing a dead battery icon immediately after inserting a charged SLB-07A

This happens when the cell voltage has dipped below the ST50's minimum recognition threshold — typically around 3.2V — during storage or shipping. The camera reads the voltage on insertion and refuses to boot if it falls below that floor. Place the cell in an OEM-compatible charger until the indicator shows at least a partial charge, then reinsert. At 3.4V or above, the camera body will accept the cell and begin normal operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ST50 shows a dead battery screen right after I put in the new SLB-07A — is the cell faulty?

Probably not faulty — the cell voltage likely dropped below the ST50's recognition floor (around 3.2V) during transit or storage. The camera checks voltage on insertion and won't boot below that threshold. Charge the cell in an OEM-compatible charger until it shows at least a partial charge level, then reinsert. At 3.4V or above the camera will accept it and power on normally.

The battery percentage on my ST500 is jumping around — it showed 60% then dropped to 10% in a few shots.

The ST500 maps its percentage indicator against the original cell's discharge curve, reading raw voltage and converting it. A new replacement cell's curve can sit slightly outside that expected profile, causing erratic jumps — particularly between 3.6V and 3.8V where the firmware's thresholds are tightest. This isn't a capacity problem; it's a calibration gap. Run two full charge-discharge cycles inside the camera body and the indicator will stabilise as the BMS refines its mapping.

My flash isn't recycling fast enough between shots since I switched to this replacement battery — what's happening?

Flash recycling speed depends on how quickly the capacitor recharges, which draws a sustained current spike from the cell. At low state of charge — below roughly 3.5V — the cell's internal resistance rises and it can't deliver that recharge current as fast. If recycling slows mid-shoot, the cell is running low rather than failing. Keep the battery above half charge before any flash-heavy session, or recharge when the camera body indicator drops to one bar.
