Fits Samsung WB100, WB1000, WB5000, and TL240 cameras; replaces OEM part SLB-11A.
3.7V, 1050mAh capacity delivers full shooting session on single charge for compact camera.
Connector slides into battery door slot; locking tab seats flush against camera body frame.
We tested this cell in a WB100 body; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without rejects.
On initial use, run one full charge cycle inside the camera body before extended shooting sessions — Samsung camera firmware maps battery percentage display to discharge curve from first charge cycle onward.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung WB100 / WB5000 / TL240 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SLB-11A)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell built to the SLB-11A form factor. It fits the Samsung WB100, WB1000, WB5000, TL240, and over 30 additional Samsung compact camera bodies that share this battery slot. Voltage and capacity match OEM spec — 3.89Wh total energy.

  • WB and TL series compatibility: These Samsung compact models share the same SLB-11A battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a WB100 body and a standalone SLB-11A charger. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and discharge protection cut in at the expected low-voltage threshold.
  • First-use charge cycle on camera body: Run one full charge from inside the camera body or OEM charger before heavy shooting. Samsung's BMS in this series maps the battery-remaining display to the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the indicator to read erratically until the camera calibrates to the new cell.

Flash recycling slowdown on the WB5000 and TL240 as the cell ages

The built-in flash on these cameras pulls a sharp current spike each time the capacitor recharges between shots. As a Li-ion cell ages and internal resistance rises, it delivers that spike more slowly — visible as a longer wait between flash-ready confirmations. A new SLB-11A cell restores the capacitor recharge speed because internal resistance drops back to spec. If recycling is still sluggish on a fresh cell, check the camera's flash capacitor — that points to a body fault, not the battery.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the WB100 display

This happens when the camera's fuel gauge is mapping its voltage thresholds against the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell it previously calibrated to. A new cell has a flatter mid-range discharge curve, so the indicator misreads state of charge and skips between levels. The fix is one complete charge-to-discharge cycle through the camera body — this lets the BMS re-map its thresholds to the new cell's curve. After that cycle, the percentage readout stabilises and tracks accurately down to the 3.0V cutoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Samsung WB100 shows a dead battery icon immediately after inserting a fully charged replacement SLB-11A — what's happening?

This is the camera's BMS authentication check rejecting an uncalibrated cell on first insertion. It does not mean the battery is faulty. Insert the battery and charge it fully through the camera body using the OEM USB or wall charger — one charge cycle from inside the body is usually enough for the camera to accept and read the cell correctly. If the icon persists after a full in-body charge, power the camera off completely, remove the battery for 30 seconds, and reinsert before charging again.

Shot count seems lower than expected — the WB5000 dies well before I finish a shoot. Is this a dud cell?

Shot count drops faster than most buyers expect because the spec figure assumes minimal flash use, no optical zoom motor activity, and short review times. On a WB5000 with flash enabled on most shots, continuous autofocus, and image stabilisation active, draw per shot is significantly higher than the CIPA baseline. Check whether flash is set to auto or forced-on — switching to forced-off in daylight alone cuts draw noticeably. If the cell still depletes unusually fast with flash off, measure resting voltage after a full charge: a healthy SLB-11A cell should read 4.18–4.20V.

The WB100 body gets noticeably warm during a long video clip — is the battery causing this?

The heat comes from the camera body, not the battery. During sustained video, the sensor, image processor, and stabilisation system all draw continuously from the cell — combined load is higher than stills shooting, and the compact body has limited heat dissipation. The SLB-11A cell itself runs warm under continuous draw, which is normal for a 3.7V Li-ion cell at this capacity. If the body becomes too hot to hold comfortably, pause recording and let it cool for two minutes before resuming — sustained overheating can trigger the camera's thermal protection and halt recording automatically.
