Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Scarlett CS-PRC250VX — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 11.1V 2600mAh (28.86Wh) lithium-ion battery is a direct replacement for the Scarlett CS-PRC250VX robot vacuum cleaner. It restores full autonomous cleaning operation when the original cell has degraded through repeated charge cycles. Dimensions are 70.00 × 36.30 × 35.20mm — verify against your existing pack before ordering.
- CS-PRC250VX platform fit: The CS-PRC250VX uses an 11.1V three-cell Li-ion configuration to power both the drive motors and suction unit from a single pack. Replacing with a matched-voltage, matched-geometry cell keeps the BMS and motor controller operating within their expected input range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through load draws replicating the CS-PRC250VX drive and suction motor demands. The BMS held undervoltage cutoff cleanly and recovered correctly on re-insertion after full charge.
- Dock charging on robot vacuums: Do not leave the CS-PRC250VX sitting on the charging dock between cleans. Continuous dock contact applies a low-level trickle current that accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
A degraded or partially discharged Li-ion pack sags under the combined load of the suction motor and drive wheels. The CS-PRC250VX suction unit draws more current across thick carpet or when the filter is restricted, pulling cell voltage down faster than the indicator updates. The vacuum interprets this as normal operation and does not flag a low-battery warning. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the cell was being overloaded, not exhausted.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the suction path is partially blocked — clogged filter, tangled brush roll, or debris jam — the motor draws sustained current above the cell's protection threshold. The BMS disconnects the output to prevent cell damage, then resets once current drops. Clear the blockage and check that the filter is clean. If trips continue on a clean filter, the cell's internal resistance has risen too high and replacement is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Scarlett CS-PRC250VX suction felt weak from the first clean after fitting the new battery — what's wrong?
A brand-new Li-ion cell at partial state of charge will sag under full motor load, causing noticeable suction drop. Charge the replacement pack completely before the first run — the BMS needs at least one full charge cycle to calibrate. Also check the filter; a restricted filter forces the motor to draw above rated current, which compounds any voltage sag. If suction is still weak on a clean filter after a full charge, confirm the replacement cell is 11.1V nominal and not a lower-voltage variant.
The robot cleaned fine for a few months, now it cuts out and restarts on its own during a run — is the battery failing?
Intermittent cutout-and-restart is a BMS overcurrent trip recovering, not a dead cell. The most common cause on the CS-PRC250VX is a filter that hasn't been cleaned in several sessions — restricted airflow makes the suction motor work harder, spiking current draw above the BMS protection threshold. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before assuming the battery is at fault. If the trips stop after clearing the restriction, the battery is fine; if they continue on a clean machine, internal cell resistance has increased and a replacement pack is the next step.
The new battery charged fully once but now only charges partway — the dock light goes green much sooner than before.
This points to shallow-cycle conditioning on a Li-ion cell that hasn't been fully discharged before recharging. If the CS-PRC250VX is returned to the dock after short cleans and topped up repeatedly without a full discharge, the BMS recalibrates its "full" threshold around a narrower state-of-charge window. Run the vacuum until the low-battery cutoff triggers, then charge fully in one uninterrupted session. Two or three full discharge-to-full-charge cycles typically restore the BMS state-of-charge calibration to the correct range.
