Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eufy RoboVac X8 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PA61)
This 14.4V, 6400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the PA61 pack in the Eufy RoboVac X8, RoboVac X8 Hybrid, RoboVac X8 White, and RoboVac X8 Hybrid White robotic vacuums. It slots into the battery compartment on the underside of the robot and connects to the same BMS handshake the charging dock expects. Capacity is sourced from the product specification — 92.16Wh total energy.
- RoboVac X8 platform fit: All four X8 variants share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single PA61-format pack covers the full range — the Hybrid models add a mop module but do not alter the battery interface.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the dock charge cycle and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — the dock LED transitions from charging to standby without error. Under simulated motor load, voltage held above the 12V BMS cutoff threshold through a full discharge curve.
- Dock charging habit on the X8: Do not leave the RoboVac sitting on the dock indefinitely between sessions. The X8 dock continues trickle charging when the battery reaches full, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge to full, then lift the robot off the dock until the next scheduled run.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the X8
The RoboVac X8 dual-turbine motor draws significantly more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter can push draw well above rated amps. That extra load causes voltage to sag at the cell level before the fuel gauge logic registers a low-battery state. The result is noticeably weaker suction while the indicator still shows two or three bars. Clean or replace the primary and secondary filters first, then recharge the new PA61 cell to full and retest — if suction recovers, the filter was the cause, not the battery.
Motor cutting out mid-clean and then restarting on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. When the X8 hits a sustained blockage — thick carpet fringe, tangled hair around the brush roll — current spikes past the protection threshold and the BMS opens the discharge circuit. The robot stops, the BMS resets after a few seconds, and the motor restarts. The fix is mechanical: clear the brush roll, check the intake port for obstructions, and confirm the filter is clean. If the cutout repeats on open hard floor with no blockage, the original battery's BMS has degraded and the PA61 replacement cell will resolve it.

Frequently Asked Questions
My RoboVac X8 returns to dock with charge still showing — why isn't it finishing the clean?
A degraded Li-ion cell loses voltage faster under motor load than the fuel gauge tracks. The robot's onboard logic reads the voltage drop as "low battery" and triggers a return-to-dock command, even though the indicator hasn't caught up yet. This is cell-level voltage sag, not a software fault. Fit the new PA61 pack, charge it fully, and run a timed clean on a hard floor to confirm the robot completes the route before returning.
The RoboVac X8 won't charge after I installed the replacement battery — dock light just flashes.
The X8 dock expects a BMS handshake on the data pin before it begins the charge cycle. A flashing dock light usually means that handshake didn't complete — check that the battery is fully seated and the connector pins are clean and undamaged. If the pins look fine, place the robot on the dock, wait 60 seconds, and lift then reseat it to trigger a fresh handshake attempt. The dock LED should shift from flashing to a steady charge indicator within 90 seconds of a successful connection.
Why does my X8 seem weaker on carpet after sitting unused for several weeks?
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage — the PA61 pack will sit at a reduced state of charge after weeks off the dock. A partially discharged cell delivers lower peak voltage, which directly reduces motor speed and suction force on high-pile carpet. Run a full charge cycle before the first clean after any extended storage. If suction doesn't recover after a complete charge, check that the brush roll and intake port are clear, as restricted airflow mimics low-power symptoms.
