Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eufy RoboVac X8 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PA61)
This is a 14.4V, 5200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Eufy RoboVac X8, RoboVac X8 Hybrid, RoboVac X8 White, and RoboVac X8 Hybrid White robotic vacuums. It fits the PA61 battery slot and powers both the drive motors and the onboard navigation system. Capacity is 5200mAh (74.88Wh) — matching the original cell specification.
- X8 and X8 Hybrid compatibility: All four X8 variants share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The PA61 part number covers the full X8 line — swapping between standard and Hybrid models does not require a different cell.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the RoboVac X8 charging cycle and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge handshake without fault codes. The protection circuit tripped correctly at the rated low-voltage cutoff during discharge testing — no false positives under normal suction load.
- Dock charging habit for RoboVac X8: The RoboVac X8 defaults to returning to dock after every clean. Left permanently docked, the trickle charge from the base station degrades cell capacity faster than normal cycling. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock if it will sit unused for more than two days.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the RoboVac X8
The X8's dual turbine motors draw significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked — the battery voltage sags under that elevated load even when the cell still holds usable charge. The BMS reads the sag as a near-depleted state and begins throttling motor speed to protect the cell. This shows up as weaker suction with a battery bar still showing two or three segments. Clean or replace the HEPA filter first; if suction recovers immediately, the battery was fine — the filter was forcing it to work too hard.
RoboVac X8 motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dying battery. When suction airflow is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or a sealed-off intake — the turbine motors spike current draw above the BMS protection threshold. The circuit opens, the motors stop, and after a few seconds the BMS resets and allows the unit to resume. A degraded original battery makes this worse because higher internal resistance amplifies the voltage drop during the current spike. Clear the brush roll of hair and debris, then check that the filter is seated correctly and unblocked.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Eufy RoboVac X8 returns to dock way too early — the battery indicator still shows charge left. Is this a BMS fault?
It is usually a voltage sag issue, not a BMS fault. A partially blocked filter forces the turbine motors to draw more current than rated, which drops cell voltage sharply under load — the robot interprets that sag as low battery and heads home. Clean the HEPA filter and check the brush roll for obstructions first. If the unit completes a full clean after that, the replacement battery is working correctly.
My RoboVac X8 developed noticeably shorter cleaning coverage after I started leaving it docked all the time. Why?
Continuous dock connection means the charger applies a low-level trickle charge indefinitely. Li-ion cells held at full charge under trickle conditions lose capacity faster than cells that are charged, removed, and allowed to discharge through normal use. The X8's dock does not cut power to the battery once full — it keeps topping up. After fitting a new battery, charge it fully and remove the robot from the dock when it will not be used for more than two days.
The RoboVac X8 shows a charging indicator when placed on dock but never completes the charge cycle — it just sits there flashing. What causes this?
The X8 charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it advances past the pre-charge stage. If the replacement cell's BMS has not been initialised — which can happen after deep discharge during storage — the charger stalls at the trickle phase and the indicator keeps flashing. Remove the robot from the dock, hold the power button for ten seconds to reset the onboard controller, then re-seat it on the dock. If the charge cycle still does not advance, verify the dock contacts are clean and making firm contact with the robot's charge pads.
