Fits Sennheiser Flex 5000, Set 880, RS 5000, RS 2000 headsets; replaces OEM part AHB571935PCT-03, BAP 800, CP-SN800.
3.7V, 280mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers 1.04Wh to power audio transmission and DECT radio functions without voltage sag during active calls.
Connector slides into the battery compartment with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the housing — seats flush when fully inserted.
We bench-tested this cell in a Flex 5000 base station; the BMS handshake completed within two charge cycles, output stable across talk-listen duty.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before the talk-time estimate is accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser Flex 5000 / Set 880 / RS 5000 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB571935PCT-03)

This 3.7V, 280mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original pack in the Sennheiser Flex 5000, Set 880, RS 5000, and RS 2000 wireless headsets. It matches OEM part numbers AHB571935PCT-03, BAP 800, and BAP-800. The cell fits the compact 37.50 × 20.00 × 6.20mm bay and connects to the same BMS circuit as the factory pack.

  • Flex 5000, Set 880, RS 5000, and RS 2000 compatibility: These four models share a common receiver housing, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits all four without any modification to the dock or headset.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the RS 5000 base station. The BMS accepted the pack without error, the charging LED sequenced correctly, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage threshold before recovery.
  • First-cycle base station log: Charge the headset in the base station for a complete cycle before taking a call. DECT headsets log the new cell during this first charge — the talk-time estimate displayed on paired devices will not be accurate until that log completes.

Base station not recognising a new pack after swap

The Flex 5000 and Set 880 base stations communicate with the headset's BMS before displaying charge status. If the cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — the BMS may not complete its handshake on the first dock. Place the headset in the base for at least 90 minutes without interruption. The charging indicator should cycle from amber to steady green once the BMS registers the new cell and the base logs the capacity profile.

Headset cuts out mid-call despite a full charge indicator

A 280mAh cell carries both audio decoding and the DECT radio transmitter simultaneously — the combined draw spikes during call setup and when the headset re-syncs with the base after brief range breaks. If the cell is in its first few cycles, internal resistance is still settling, and voltage can sag just enough to trip the BMS protection circuit. This clears after three to five full charge-discharge cycles as the cell stabilises. If cut-outs persist past cycle five, check that the base station contacts are clean and that the headset is seating fully — poor contact raises effective resistance and worsens voltage sag under load.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station shows a full charge but my Flex 5000 cuts off after a short call — what's happening?

This is a storage-voltage issue. A new cell ships at roughly 3.6V — enough for the base to show "charged," but not enough for sustained combined audio and DECT radio draw. Dock the headset and run one uninterrupted full charge cycle before use. The base logs the new cell during that first cycle, and cut-offs stop once the cell reaches full working voltage.

My Set 880 headset feels noticeably warm during long calls after fitting a new battery — is that normal?

Some warmth is expected. The 280mAh cell is powering both audio decoding and the DECT transmitter inside a small housing with limited airflow, so surface temperature rises under sustained combined load. If the headset becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the cell is seated flat and the housing closes fully — a partially closed bay traps heat. Normal operating temperature should drop after the first few conditioning cycles as the cell's internal resistance settles.

Talk time on the RS 5000 is noticeably shorter than rated for the first few uses — is the battery faulty?

Not faulty — lithium-polymer cells need several cycles to reach full capacity. On a fresh cell, internal resistance runs higher than it will after conditioning, so usable energy per cycle is lower. Run three to five complete charge-discharge cycles through the base station and talk time will increase incrementally each time. If capacity has not improved by cycle five, verify the base station contacts are clean and making firm contact with the headset terminals.
