Fits Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones; replaces OEM battery AHB110520CPS.
3.7V lithium-polymer cell delivers 400mAh capacity for active noise cancellation and call audio.
Connector seats flush into the headset battery cavity with a single retention tab.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake with the QC35 charging circuit on first insertion.
Charge the headset in its base station for one full cycle before taking calls — the base needs to register the new cell before talk-time estimates stabilize.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bose QuietComfort 35 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB110520CPS)

This is a 3.7V, 400mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones. It fits the QC35 and QC35 II (model 419811) and replaces OEM part AHB110520CPS. Swap it in when the original cell has degraded and the headphones can no longer hold a usable charge.

  • QC35 and QC35 II compatibility: Both headphone generations share the same battery footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The cell dimensions — 47 × 10 × 10mm — match the housing cavity exactly, and the protection circuit communicates correctly with the QC35 charge management IC.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell in a QC35 unit through charge, discharge, and ANC-active listening cycles. The BMS accepted the pack without error codes, charge termination triggered cleanly at full voltage, and the protection circuit tripped correctly under simulated over-discharge conditions.
  • First-cycle charge on QC35: Place the headphones on the charging cable and run a full charge cycle before use. The QC35 firmware recalibrates its fuel gauge against the new cell's actual capacity on that first cycle — skipping it causes the battery indicator to read inaccurately from the start.

Why the QC35 cuts out mid-song on a new battery

The QC35 draws current from two loads simultaneously — the audio amplifier and the active noise cancellation circuit. Under combined draw, a cell at storage voltage (typically around 3.6–3.7V shipped) can sag below the BMS undervoltage threshold momentarily, triggering a shutdown. This is not a faulty cell. Running one full charge-discharge cycle brings the cell to operational voltage and the sag disappears on subsequent use.

Battery indicator stuck at the same level after fitting a new cell

The QC35 estimates remaining charge by tracking coulombs from a reference point set during the last full charge cycle. A brand-new cell has no reference point stored, so the indicator reads stale data from the old cell and displays it as current. Charge the headphones to 100% and discharge them fully once — the firmware resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual 400mAh capacity. After that cycle, the indicator tracks accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

My QC35 headphones cut out mid-song even though the battery indicator still shows charge — what's happening?

This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. The ANC circuit and audio amplifier draw current together, and if the cell is at storage voltage it can dip below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily under that combined load. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full charge-discharge cycle and the sag clears — the BMS no longer trips under normal combined draw after the cell reaches its operating voltage range.

The headphones feel warm around the ear cup after an extended listening session with ANC on — is that normal with this battery?

Yes, and it is a housing issue as much as a battery issue. The QC35 chassis is compact, and sustained combined draw from both the ANC processor and amplifier generates heat with limited airflow to dissipate it. The cell itself has a thermal protection threshold well above what the QC35 reaches in normal use. If the housing feels hot rather than warm, check that the charge port is not simultaneously drawing current — charging while listening increases total thermal load inside the cup.

Talk time on the new battery seems shorter than rated for the first few uses — is the cell defective?

It is not defective — lithium-polymer cells deliver their rated capacity after a few charge-discharge cycles, not immediately. On the first two or three cycles, the electrolyte is still wetting fully into the electrode structure and available capacity runs slightly low. We see this consistently on the bench: capacity climbs toward the rated 400mAh (1.48Wh) across cycles three to five. Run the headphones through three full charge-discharge cycles before measuring talk time against the rated spec.
