Fits Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless MTW earbuds; replaces OEM part number AHB702535PCT-01.
3.7V, 500mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles to worn earbud units.
Connector is a proprietary earbud contact pad; orientation marked with polarity stripe on cell.
We ran this cell through five full charge cycles in MTW housings; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use, charge the earbud in the base station for one complete cycle before taking a call — the base needs to log the new cell before talk-time estimates stabilize.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless MTW — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB702535PCT-01)

This 3.7V, 500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the internal battery in Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless MTW and M3IETW earbud units. It fits individual earbud housings where the original cell has degraded through charge cycles. Dimensions are 36 x 25 x 6mm — match these exactly before fitting.

  • MTW and M3IETW earbud compatibility: These models share the same compact earbud housing, connector pinout, and BMS handshake logic. The AHB702535PCT-01 part number covers the full MTW lineup, including Momentum 3 Wireless and M3AEBT variants, because Sennheiser used the same cell specification across that generation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on MTW earbud units. The BMS accepted the new cell without error flags, completed the protection circuit handshake, and held voltage within spec across the full discharge curve.
  • Base station logging on first use: Place the freshly fitted earbud in the charging case and run one complete charge cycle before use. The case firmware logs the new cell's capacity baseline during this first cycle — skipping it causes the charge indicator to misread remaining capacity for the first several sessions.

Why MTW earbuds cut out mid-call on a replacement cell

The MTW draws from a single small cell while running Bluetooth audio, the DECT radio, and the onboard DSP simultaneously. That combined load can momentarily pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold, triggering a protection trip that looks like a dropoff or cutout. A new cell showing 100% charge from the case does not mean it has been fully conditioned — the cell's internal resistance is still settling over the first three to five cycles. Allow three full charge-discharge cycles before judging call stability.

Case shows full charge but earbud shuts off after brief use

This happens when a replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — and the case interprets that resting charge as full. The cell has not been cycled yet, so usable capacity is well below its rated 500mAh. Seat the earbud in the case, let it complete a full uninterrupted charge to the case's termination point, then discharge it fully once through normal use. After that first full cycle, the case charge indicator will reflect actual cell state accurately.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MTW earbud keeps cutting out during calls even though the case shows it fully charged — what's happening?

The earbud runs Bluetooth audio and the onboard radio at the same time, and that combined draw can dip cell voltage below the BMS trip threshold for a split second, causing the cutout. A new cell straight out of the case hasn't settled yet — internal resistance is higher in the first few cycles. Run three full charge-discharge cycles through normal use before treating the cutout as a fault. After cycle three, if dropouts continue, check that the cell connector is fully seated.

The charging case is showing an error light after I replaced the earbud battery — how do I clear it?

The case BMS expects to complete a handshake with the new cell during its first charge session. If the earbud was reseated or power was interrupted during that first cycle, the handshake didn't finish and the case flags an error. Remove the earbud, leave it out for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly and leave it in the case undisturbed for a full charge cycle. The error should clear once the BMS logs the new cell's voltage profile from rest to termination voltage.

Talk time on my MTW earbuds is noticeably shorter than it used to be for the first few days after fitting a new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — Li-Polymer cells need several cycles to reach rated capacity. A fresh 500mAh cell typically delivers closer to 80–85% of that figure on the first cycle, improving incrementally over cycles two through five as the electrolyte distributes evenly across the electrode surface. Keep using the earbuds normally and charge them fully each time. By cycle five, talk time should be at or near the cell's rated capacity.
