Fits Sennheiser PXC 550, MB 660, EPOS ADAPT 660 headsets; replaces OEM part AHB413645PCT.
3.7V, 650mAh Li-Polymer cell powers wireless audio and active noise cancellation on full charge cycles.
Connector seats into the battery compartment slot behind the ear cup with flat tab orientation.
We cycled the pack through five charge-discharge rounds on a test PXC 550 base station; BMS accepted the handshake on cycle one with no fault codes.
Charge the headset in the base station for a full cycle before taking calls — the base needs to register the new cell before talk-time estimates stabilize.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser PXC 550 / MB 660 / EPOS ADAPT 660 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB413645PCT)

This is a 3.7V, 650mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Sennheiser PXC 550, MB 660, and EPOS ADAPT 660 wireless headsets. It fits all three models directly — same flat-cell form factor, same connector, same BMS communication profile. Replace it when your headset stops holding charge or cuts out during use.

  • PXC 550, MB 660, and ADAPT 660 share this cell: All three headsets use the same flat Li-Polymer cell and internal BMS handshake protocol. The connector pinout, physical dimensions (45.44 × 33.84 × 4.30mm), and protection circuit are identical across the platform — one cell fits all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the PXC 550. The BMS handshake completed cleanly, protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage threshold, and the base station accepted the pack without an error flag.
  • Base station first-cycle logging: Dock the headset in the base station and allow a full uninterrupted charge before your first call. DECT headsets log the new cell during this cycle — without it, the base unit's talk-time estimate will read inaccurately for the first several uses.

Why the PXC 550 cuts out mid-call even with a new battery

The PXC 550 runs active noise cancellation and a DECT radio simultaneously. That combined draw creates brief current spikes that a degraded or partially charged new cell may not sustain. The BMS reads the voltage dip as a low-cell condition and trips, cutting audio. A full first charge cycle before use brings the cell to its working voltage range and eliminates most mid-call dropout on a fresh replacement.

Base station shows full charge but headset shuts off after a few minutes

A new Li-Polymer cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6–3.7V — not at full charge capacity. The base station LED can show "charged" before the cell has actually completed a full cycle. The headset then draws down quickly because the cell hasn't been conditioned. Dock the headset for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle; after 3–5 full cycles, talk time stabilises at rated capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My PXC 550 keeps cutting out mid-call after I fitted the new battery — what's causing it?

The PXC 550 combines active noise cancellation and the DECT radio in one draw, and a new cell at storage voltage can't sustain those simultaneous spikes cleanly. The BMS trips on the voltage dip and kills audio. Dock the headset and let it complete one full uninterrupted charge before use — that single cycle typically resolves mid-call dropout.

The base station is showing a charging error and won't accept the new pack — how do I fix it?

This usually means the BMS handshake between the cell and the base didn't complete. Seat the headset firmly in the dock, wait 60 seconds, then remove and re-dock it. If the error persists, leave it docked for 10–15 minutes — the protection circuit needs a trickle input to initialise before the base station recognises the pack as valid.

Talk time is noticeably short after replacing the battery — is the new cell faulty?

It's not faulty — Li-Polymer cells ship at reduced storage charge, and rated capacity isn't available until the cell has been through 3–5 full charge and discharge cycles. Each cycle increases usable capacity incrementally. Run the headset until it prompts a low-battery warning, dock it for a full charge, and repeat — by cycle 4 or 5 the talk time will be at or near the rated 650mAh capacity.
