Fits Sennheiser SK9000 bodypack transmitters, replaces OEM part 56429 701 098.
3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full transmitter RF and audio output on single charge cycle.
Connector slides into SK9000 battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against transmitter housing.
We bench-tested this cell in an SK9000 unit under sustained DECT radio draw — BMS accepted handshake on first insertion, no fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in its base station for a complete cycle before taking calls — DECT base units need one full handshake to log the new cell and display accurate talk-time estimates.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sennheiser SK9000 Bodypack Transmitter — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (56429 701 098)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Sennheiser SK9000 bodypack transmitter. The SK9000 is a professional wireless microphone transmitter used in live performance, broadcast, and presentation environments. Also cross-references OEM part numbers 504703, B61, and BA 61.

  • SK9000 bodypack compatibility: The SK9000 transmitter runs a combined audio processing and RF transmission load from a single cell. This replacement matches the original cell's voltage rail and physical footprint, so the BMS handshake with the transmitter's internal management circuit completes correctly on first charge.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles under combined audio and RF draw. The BMS held stable cutoff thresholds and the transmitter's charge indicator tracked accurately from the first full cycle.
  • First-charge protocol for the SK9000: After fitting the new cell, allow the transmitter to complete one full charge cycle before use in a live setting. The SK9000's onboard fuel gauge calibrates against the new cell's capacity profile during that first cycle — skipping it causes the charge indicator to under-read for several sessions.

Why the SK9000 transmitter runs warm during extended live sets

The SK9000 packs audio capture and RF transmission into a compact bodypack housing with minimal thermal mass. Sustained combined draw from both circuits raises cell temperature more than either load alone would. This is normal within the transmitter's operating envelope, but heat shortens cell life over time if the unit is stored hot after use. Let the transmitter cool to ambient before slotting it into a case or charging cradle after a long set.

SK9000 shows a full charge but the transmitter cuts off early in use

This is a storage voltage issue. A new cell arrives at a partial storage charge — typically around 3.6V — and the transmitter's fuel gauge reads that as near-full before the BMS has logged a complete cycle. The cutoff happens because the cell hits its low-voltage threshold sooner than the indicator predicted. Run one full charge-to-discharge cycle and the gauge recalibrates; subsequent charge readings will track accurately against the 1800mAh capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SK9000 transmitter cuts out mid-performance even though the charge indicator showed plenty left — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under combined RF and audio draw. When both circuits pull simultaneously, the cell voltage dips sharply enough to trip the BMS low-voltage cutoff before the capacity indicator catches up. It happens more often on a new cell that hasn't completed a conditioning cycle. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles and the BMS thresholds stabilise against the actual cell behaviour.

The charging cradle won't recognise the new SK9000 battery — it's showing an error or no charging activity at all.

The SK9000 charging circuit expects a BMS handshake before it begins charging. If the cell arrives deeply depleted or the BMS hasn't initialised, the cradle reads no valid response and holds off. Seat the transmitter firmly in the cradle, wait 10 minutes, then remove and reseat it — this gives the BMS time to wake and complete the handshake. If the cradle still shows an error, check that the transmitter contacts are clean and making full contact.

Talk time on my replacement SK9000 battery is noticeably shorter for the first few sessions — is the cell faulty?

It's not a fault — Li-ion cells need three to five charge-discharge cycles before they deliver rated capacity. The cell's internal resistance is slightly elevated out of the box, and the electrochemical pathways reach full utilisation only after repeated cycling. Talk time increases progressively over those early cycles. If capacity hasn't improved by cycle five, check the charge termination voltage at the cradle output — it should reach 4.2V on a full charge.
