Fits Shark IZ662H, IZ640H, IZ300UK stick vacuums; replaces OEM battery XBATR725.
25.2V lithium-ion at 2000mAh delivers consistent motor voltage across carpet and hard floor cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into the grip slot with a locking tab that seats flush against the motor housing.
We bench tested this cell on a IZ662H motor load rig; BMS held steady under sustained suction draw without early cutoff.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock when full — continuous dock charging degrades capacity faster than removing it after charge completes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Shark IZ662H / IZ640H Series — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (XBATR725)

This is a 25.2V 2000mAh lithium-ion replacement battery for the Shark IZ662H, IZ640H, IZ300UK, IZ300UKT, and compatible cordless stick vacuums. It replaces the original XBATR725 pack. Fit the battery to a depleted or failing unit to restore full motor voltage without replacing the vacuum.

  • IZ600 and IZ300 series compatibility: These models share the same 25.2V battery rail, XBATR725 connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single replacement pack covers the full range listed above.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the XBATR725 replacement through full charge-discharge cycles on an IZ640H unit. The BMS reported cell balance correctly on all cycles and the protection circuit tripped as expected under a simulated overcurrent load, then recovered cleanly.
  • Dock charging habit on Shark stick vacuums: Do not leave this vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Shark cordless vacuums on continuous dock contact develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The IZ662H motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or airflow is restricted. That extra draw pulls the cell voltage down under load faster than the indicator circuit tracks it. The result is reduced suction at 40–50% indicated charge — the battery reads mid-level but the voltage at the motor terminals has already sagged. Clean the filter first, then retest suction under load. If suction recovers, the battery is fine — restricted airflow was the cause.

Motor cutting out mid-clean then recovering after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is sustained against a blockage or heavily soiled filter, motor current spikes past the protection threshold and the BMS interrupts the circuit. The vacuum restarts after the BMS resets — typically within 15–30 seconds. The fix is not a new battery. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and confirm the voltage reads above 22V on a full charge before assuming the pack is faulty.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Shark IZ662H has noticeably less suction than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows plenty of charge — what's going on?

A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, which pulls cell voltage down under load even when the indicator reads mid-level. The indicator measures resting voltage, not the voltage the motor actually sees while running. Clean the foam and felt filters thoroughly, then run the vacuum again. If suction returns, the battery is not the problem — restricted airflow was.

The replacement battery charges fine but the vacuum cuts out after a few minutes of use and restarts on its own — is the battery defective?

That restart pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a cell failure. The protection circuit cuts power when motor current spikes past its threshold — most often caused by a clogged filter or a partial floor blockage forcing the motor to work harder. We saw this behaviour on the bench when we restricted airflow deliberately; the BMS tripped consistently and reset cleanly. Clear any blockage, clean the filter, and verify the pack charges to a full 25.2V before drawing any further conclusions about the battery.

The new XBATR725 battery loses capacity noticeably after just a few months — could leaving it on the dock be causing this?

Yes — continuous dock contact is one of the fastest ways to degrade a lithium-ion pack in a cordless vacuum. Shark stick vacuums do not always fully interrupt charge when the battery reaches 100%, so the cells sit under a trickle charge that accelerates capacity loss over weeks. Charge the battery to full, then pull the vacuum off the dock and store it separately. Reconnect to the dock only when the battery needs a charge cycle.
