Shinelon T3TI / T3 Pro — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (6-87-NH50S-41C00)
This is a 14.4V, 2200mAh (31.68Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Shinelon T3TI and T3 Pro laptops. It slots into the same bay as the original Clevo-platform cell and uses OEM part numbers 6-87-NH50S-41C00 and NH50BAT-4. Install it when the existing pack no longer holds charge or the OS reports degraded health.
- T3TI and T3 Pro compatibility: Both models run on the same Clevo NH50 platform, sharing an identical battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, full discharge to BMS cutoff, and recharge on a T3TI unit. The BMS accepted the new pack without error flags, and the charge controller reached full 14.4V without throttling.
- First-cycle calibration on the T3TI: After installing, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates at its low-voltage cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
The Clevo NH50 BIOS reads health data stored in the battery pack's EEPROM. A new cell ships with factory EEPROM values that don't match the laptop's learned charge history, so the BIOS flags it as degraded or unknown. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a complete uninterrupted charge. After two to three cycles, the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The OS reads an estimated state of charge, but the real cell voltage drops below the system's cutoff threshold before the display reaches 0%. The fix is a calibration cycle — let the laptop discharge fully until it hibernates, then charge to 100% without interruption. Repeat this two to three times until the shutdown point drops below 5% shown on screen.

My T3TI shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" — what's wrong?
The Clevo NH50 BMS occasionally fails to hand off correctly if the old pack was deeply discharged before removal. Connect the charger and leave the laptop off for 15 minutes — this lets the BMS pre-charge the cell to the minimum threshold before the system negotiates a full charge session. If the issue persists, remove the battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain residual board power, then reinsert and connect the charger before powering on.
The system info panel shows a wrong Wh rating — it's listing something other than 31.68Wh. Is the battery faulty?
No. The Wh figure displayed in Windows or Linux system tools is read from the battery pack's EEPROM, which stores the manufacturer's rated capacity value. Different production batches of NH50BAT-4 cells can carry slightly different EEPROM entries even at the same nominal spec. The actual chemistry and voltage are correct at 14.4V Li-ion. The displayed Wh value normalises after the BIOS completes a learn cycle — run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff and recharge to 100% to trigger it.
After two weeks of normal use, the fuel gauge is still jumping around — it'll show 60%, drop to 45%, then climb back. Is this a defective cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the Clevo NH50 platform needs several full charge-discharge cycles to map the new cell's voltage curve accurately. Erratic readings in the first one to three weeks are a calibration issue, not a cell defect. Run two more full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100%. After the third calibration cycle, the gauge typically stabilises to within a 3–5% variance.
