Fits Sigmatel FXD 6100; replaces original 3.7V smartphone battery when capacity drops below usable threshold.
3.7V, 1050mAh cell delivers standard runtime for daily calls, messaging, and app use on this device.
Connector seats into FXD 6100 battery slot with positive terminal contact alignment; locking tab secures pack flush.
We bench tested this cell on FXD 6100 hardware; BMS accepted voltage curve on first insertion without fault codes.
On first full charge after installation, use standard charging only — skip fast charge for one complete cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sigmatel FXD 6100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Sigmatel FXD 6100 smartphone. It fits directly into the FXD 6100 and restores full power to a device suffering from a degraded or failed original cell. Capacity is 1050mAh (3.89Wh) as specified for this model.

  • FXD 6100 fit: This battery matches the voltage rail and physical dimensions (53.00 × 33.90 × 5.60mm) of the original FXD 6100 cell. The connector and BMS interface align with what the phone's charge IC expects, so the device recognises the new cell on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS held stable cutoff thresholds at both ends, with no false tripping under simulated screen and modem load.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if the option is available and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. The FXD 6100's fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one full cycle lets it map the new cell's behaviour before resuming high-current charging.

Why the FXD 6100 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The FXD 6100 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state using a coulomb counter trained on the original cell's discharge curve. When you swap in a new cell, the counter starts from stale reference data. This causes the OS to display percentages that don't reflect actual charge state — you may see jumps of 10–15% in either direction. One full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a complete charge to 100%, resets the counter against the new cell's actual curve.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's voltage-versus-capacity mapping. The new cell hits a steeper voltage cliff under modem or display load — the phone's hardware protection circuit cuts power before the reported percentage reaches zero. It's not a faulty battery. Force a full discharge cycle: let the phone shut itself off naturally, then charge uninterrupted to 4.2V (100%). After one cycle, the shutdown point shifts back to the correct low-voltage threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My FXD 6100 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

The BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V per cell after extended storage — this is a protection state, not permanent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until the BMS releases its lockout, at which point the phone will boot normally. If the screen shows nothing after 45 minutes on charge, try a different cable and confirm the charger outputs at least 5V.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting the new battery — what happened?

The USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge handshake between the phone and charger depends on the BMS reporting a valid cell state. On the first cycle with a new cell, some BMS firmware defaults to standard 5V charging until it completes one full cycle and confirms cell parameters are within spec. Run one complete standard-rate charge to 100%, then reconnect your fast charger — the handshake should complete normally after that cycle.

The FXD 6100 feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?

A new cell with slightly higher internal impedance draws more voltage from the charge IC to push current in, which generates more heat than a broken-in cell. This is common on the first few cycles and settles as the cell's impedance drops. Check that the phone is not in a case during charging and that the ambient temperature is below 35°C. If the device becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — disconnect and let it cool before resuming the charge.
