Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SinoMDT Infusion Pump SN-1600V / SN-50F6 / SN-50C6 — 12V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (JS-12V-2.0AH)

This is a 12V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery carrying OEM part number JS-12V-2.0AH. It fits the SinoMDT Infusion Pump SN-1600V, SN-50F6, and SN-50C6 — a clinical infusion pump used to deliver IV fluids, medications, and nutrients at controlled rates. Capacity is 24Wh.

  • SN-1600V, SN-50F6, and SN-50C6 compatibility: All three models share the same 12V power rail, the same physical connector, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell pack covers the range. Swapping between these models requires no hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge-discharge cycles on the SN-1600V platform. The BMS accepted the cell chemistry without fault flags, and voltage held steady across the pump's delivery cycles without triggering the under-voltage cutoff.
  • Post-swap startup protocol: After installing this battery, let the pump complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption. The BMS runs a chemistry verification check at startup — interrupting it mid-sequence can latch a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the SN-1600V flags a low-battery alarm with a fully charged new cell

The SN-1600V's charge IC uses a conservative threshold calibrated to the OEM cell's internal resistance profile. A new replacement cell has a slightly different resistance curve until it completes one full charge-discharge cycle. During that first cycle, the pump's BMS may read state-of-charge as lower than actual and trigger a low-battery alarm even when the pack is fully charged. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical deployment — the alarm clears once the BMS maps the cell's real voltage-capacity curve.

Pump will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack voltage drops below roughly 10.0V the SN-1600V's BMS enters deep-discharge protection and blocks power-on entirely. The pump will show no response — no display, no alarm. Connect the pump to mains power and leave it on charge for a minimum of four hours before attempting to power on. This allows the charger to trickle the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SN-1600V keeps alarming low battery even though I just fully charged the new pack — what's happening?

The pump's BMS is calibrated to the internal resistance profile of the original OEM cell. A new replacement cell reads differently until it completes one full charge-discharge cycle, causing the BMS to underestimate state-of-charge and trip the low-battery alarm. This is not a fault with the battery — it self-corrects. Run one full charge-discharge cycle outside clinical use, and the alarm will stop once the BMS has mapped the cell's actual voltage curve.

The pump won't power on at all after I installed the new battery — screen is completely blank.

If the cell sat in storage before installation, self-discharge may have dropped pack voltage below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0V for a 12V Ni-MH pack. The BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and blocks power-on as a protection measure. Connect the pump to mains power and charge it uninterrupted for at least four hours to bring the cell above the recovery threshold before pressing power.

The pump shut off unexpectedly mid-infusion shortly after I fitted the replacement battery — is the cell faulty?

New Ni-MH cells handle the pump's delivery load profile harder in the first 10 cycles before internal resistance stabilises. During this break-in period, voltage sag under peak draw can briefly dip below the BMS under-voltage cutoff, triggering an unexpected shutdown. This is most likely to happen in the first few uses, not a sign of a defective cell. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles on mains backup before relying on the battery for unsupported clinical use.
