Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Z3 Compact / Z3 Mini — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LIS1561ERPC)
This 3.8V, 2600mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number LIS1561ERPC in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Z3 Mini and Xperia Z3 Compact, including model numbers D5803 and D5833. It restores full power capacity to the handset when the original cell has degraded or no longer holds a usable charge. Physical dimensions are 95.55 × 51.33 × 3.44mm — verify these against your existing cell before installation.
- Z3 Mini and Z3 Compact compatibility: Both the Z3 Mini and Z3 Compact variants use the same LIS1561ERPC cell — identical voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. One battery covers the full range of D5803 and D5833 units without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on a D5803 unit. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, charge IC handed off correctly at 4.35V, and no protection tripping occurred under screen-on and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z3 Compact after a cell swap
A new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve than the worn cell the fuel gauge IC was trained on. When the phone hits a steep voltage cliff under modem or display load, the IC reads 20–30% remaining but the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — the phone shuts off instantly. This is not a faulty battery. One full discharge from 100% to automatic cutoff, followed by a full charge, gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate. After that cycle, shutdowns at high reported percentages typically stop.
USB charging not working on first cycle after replacement
The Xperia Z3 Compact's charge IC runs a handshake with the battery BMS on first connection. If the new cell has been in storage at a low state of charge, the BMS may present a high-impedance signal that causes the charge IC to stall the session. Connect the phone to a wall adapter — not a PC USB port — which delivers a stable 5V supply. Hold this connection for at least 10 minutes before expecting the charging indicator to appear. If the phone responds, charge fully to 100% before first use.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Xperia Z3 Compact keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Z3 Compact is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original worn cell, not the new one. When voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load, the IC still reads 25% but the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. Run one full uninterrupted discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — after that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Z3 Mini jumps around erratically after the swap — sometimes it gains 5% without charging.
Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC problem, not a battery defect. The IC holds a learned model of the old cell's impedance and discharge curve in memory. The new cell has different internal resistance, so the IC's estimates swing wide until it gathers real discharge data. Complete two full charge-discharge cycles at standard charge rate — no fast charging — and the coulomb counter will settle against the new cell's actual curve. Readings stabilise after the second full cycle.
My Z3 Compact won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.
A Li-Polymer cell stored uncharged for an extended period can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent over-discharge damage. The phone will not respond to the power button and may show nothing on screen when plugged in. Connect the phone directly to a wall adapter at 5V and leave it for 15–20 minutes — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.8V, after which normal charging resumes.
