Fits Prestigio MultiPhone 5044 Duo smartphone; replaces OEM battery PAP5044BA.
3.7V nominal, 1900mAh capacity delivers sufficient charge for daily calling, messaging, and app use.
Connector solders directly to the phone's internal charge port; no external slot or locking tab.
We cycled the cell on a MultiPhone 5044 Duo test unit — BMS accepted charge at 500mA input, voltage curve clean across discharge.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Prestigio MultiPhone 5044 Duo — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (PAP5044BA)

This 3.7V, 1900mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original PAP5044BA battery in the Prestigio MultiPhone 5044 Duo smartphone. It fits both the MultiPhone 5044 Duo and PAP5044 DUO variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • MultiPhone 5044 Duo and PAP5044 DUO fitment: Both variants share the same 3.7V voltage rail, physical form factor, and BMS connector pinout — one cell covers both. The PAP5044BA part number is the OEM reference for each.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the MultiPhone 5044 Duo platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and the charge IC accepted current from the first connection.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One unconstrained cycle lets it map the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MultiPhone 5044 Duo

A degraded cell loses voltage faster under modem and screen load than the fuel gauge predicts. When internal resistance climbs, cell voltage collapses below the BMS cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone interprets this as a normal shutdown, not a fault. Replacing the cell removes the high-impedance source — after one full calibration cycle, the percentage readout tracks actual charge state correctly.

Wrong battery percentage showing after a cell swap

The MultiPhone 5044 Duo's fuel gauge IC uses a coulomb counter trained on the original cell's capacity curve. A new 1900mAh cell has a different discharge profile, so the IC reports inaccurate figures immediately after the swap. The fix is one complete discharge to auto-off followed by a full uninterrupted charge. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and percentage accuracy returns.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Prestigio MultiPhone 5044 Duo won't turn on after sitting in a drawer for months — is the battery dead?

Deep storage often drops the cell below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The BMS locks out at that threshold and the phone shows no response to the power button. Plug it into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the BMS recovers, the phone will boot; if it doesn't respond after 45 minutes on charge, the cell has dropped too low for the BMS to recover and needs replacing.

The battery percentage on my MultiPhone 5044 Duo jumps around erratically — it went from 45% to 12% in two minutes.

Erratic percentage jumps point to the fuel gauge IC losing track of the cell's actual state of charge. This happens when the coulomb counter's stored discharge curve no longer matches the cell — either the original cell has degraded significantly, or a replacement cell hasn't been calibrated yet. Run one full discharge-charge cycle with the screen on and no fast charging enabled. After that cycle completes, the IC resets its reference points and the percentage readout stabilises.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the back cover while charging after fitting the replacement battery — is that normal?

Some warmth is expected on the first few charge cycles with a new cell. A fresh high-impedance cell causes the charge IC to work slightly harder as it pushes current in, generating more heat than a broken-in cell would. The temperature should drop to normal levels after two or three full cycles as internal resistance settles. If the phone remains hot to the touch beyond the third cycle, check that the charge cable and adapter output matches the phone's rated input — using an oversized fast charger on an uncalibrated cell amplifies this effect.
