Fits Sports Camera HT200 and TM200 action cameras; replaces OEM battery CS-NP120FU.
3.7V 1800mAh (6.66Wh) lithium-ion delivers stable power for video recording and photo capture throughout outdoor shooting sessions.
Connector is a proprietary single-pin dock; battery seats flat into the camera body slot with no locking tab.
We bench-tested this cell on the HT200 charge circuit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
On initial install, charge fully in the camera body once before extended shooting — the HT200 BMS maps battery percentage to the discharge curve during first charge cycle.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sports Camera HT200 / TM200 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.7V 1800mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Sports Camera HT200 and TM200 action cameras. It fits the compact battery bay on both models and restores full shooting capability when your original cell no longer holds a charge. Dimensions are 53.00 × 35.30 × 11.00mm — confirm these match your existing cell before fitting.

  • HT200 and TM200 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and connector orientation, which is why a single cell covers both. The onboard BMS on each camera communicates with the cell over the same charge management protocol.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on camera hardware and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without rejection flags. Charge termination cut off correctly at full voltage.
  • First-cycle acceptance tip: Run the first full charge inside the camera body using the OEM cable — not a standalone charger. Some action camera BMS systems only map the battery-remaining indicator accurately after completing one charge cycle from within the camera body itself.

Battery percentage jumping erratically on the HT200 display

The HT200 maps battery percentage against a fixed voltage-threshold table calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different internal resistance will produce voltage readings that don't line up with those thresholds. The indicator can jump from 80% to 40% mid-session or stall at one level for an extended period before dropping sharply. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle inside the camera body allows the BMS to recalibrate against the new cell's actual curve.

Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

This happens when the camera's low-voltage cutoff triggers against a new cell that arrived partially discharged from storage. The BMS reads the resting voltage, sees it near the cutoff threshold, and flags it as depleted before the cell has had a chance to condition. Place the cell in the camera and charge it fully via USB before attempting to power on. Once it reaches 4.2V at the termination point, the indicator should clear and the camera will boot normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HT200 says "no battery" or won't recognise the new cell — is something wrong with it?

This is a BMS authentication check triggered on first install, not a faulty cell. The camera's charge controller hasn't yet logged the new cell's voltage signature. Insert the battery, connect the camera to its OEM USB cable, and let it complete one full charge cycle without powering on mid-way. After that charge cycle, the camera should recognise the cell and boot normally.

The battery percentage on my HT200 drops fast at the start then barely moves — what's happening?

The camera's percentage indicator is mapped to voltage thresholds set for the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell with different internal resistance produces a steeper initial voltage drop under load, which the camera reads as a large capacity drop. The reading stabilises as the cell settles mid-discharge. Complete two full charge-discharge cycles inside the camera body and the indicator tracking will tighten up considerably.

My HT200 gets noticeably warm during continuous video recording and the battery drains faster than expected — is that normal?

Under sustained video, the HT200 draws simultaneously from the image sensor, video processor, and stabilisation circuit — this combined load runs higher than the spec shot count assumes. The warmth is normal for continuous recording and reflects combined component draw rather than a cell fault. To reduce thermal load, record in shorter clips with brief pauses between them. If the body stays cool during short clips but heats quickly only in continuous mode, the cell is working correctly — the draw profile is just higher than standby use.
