Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SUPRO OVS-EM1 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DC-T02-25)
This is a 25.2V Li-ion battery pack rated at 2500mAh (63Wh), built to fit the SUPRO OVS-EM1 cordless stick vacuum cleaner. It slots in where the original DC-T02-25 pack sits and uses the same BMS handshake the charger expects. When the original cell degrades and suction weakens even on a full charge, this is the swap that brings the vacuum back to full draw.
- OVS-EM1 fitment: The OVS-EM1 runs a 25.2V motor rail that requires a matched cell pack and BMS profile. A mismatched pack — wrong voltage or incompatible BMS — will either refuse to charge or trigger an immediate cutoff when the motor spins up under load. This pack uses the DC-T02-25 form factor and BMS to prevent both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and motor-start cycles, confirming the BMS holds the 25.2V rail steady during initial spin-up and does not trip on the inrush current the OVS-EM1 motor draws at startup.
- Dock charging habit on the OVS-EM1: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between uses. Continuous dock charge delivers a low-level trickle that degrades Li-ion cells faster than normal cycle use. Charge to full, remove from the dock, and reconnect only when the battery is depleted.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
A partially blocked filter forces the OVS-EM1 motor to work harder to pull airflow. That extra load increases current draw beyond the motor's rated pull, which causes voltage on the 25.2V rail to sag under load even when the battery reads mid-charge. The BMS reads the voltage drop — not the state of charge — and throttles output to protect the cells. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction restores, the battery was not the problem.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then recovers after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when restricted airflow — a blocked filter or sealed nozzle — makes the motor draw sustained high current. The BMS cuts power to protect the cells, and the pack resets once current drops, which is why it starts again after a pause. Check the filter and clear any blockage at the nozzle before running again. If the cutout stops after clearing the filter, the pack is functioning correctly at the BMS level.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SUPRO OVS-EM1 suction feels weaker than it used to even right after a full charge — is the battery the cause?
Not always. A degraded battery is one cause, but a partially blocked filter is more common — it makes the motor draw more current than rated, which sags the voltage rail and reduces suction even on a full pack. Remove and clean the filter first. If suction improves, the battery is fine. If suction stays weak with a clean filter, the cell capacity has faded and the DC-T02-25 pack needs replacing.
The OVS-EM1 shuts off during a clean and won't restart immediately, but works again after sitting for a few minutes — what's happening?
That's a BMS overcurrent trip. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, sealed nozzle, or heavy carpet buildup — the motor draws sustained current above the safe threshold, and the BMS cuts output to protect the cells. The pack resets once current demand drops, which is why it runs again after a short pause. Clear the nozzle and filter before the next run. If trips continue with a clean filter, the original cell pack has degraded enough that its internal resistance is causing the BMS to trip on normal load — replace the pack.
I've had the new DC-T02-25 battery on the dock for over an hour and the OVS-EM1 still shows no charge — what should I check?
First, confirm the pack is fully seated — the dock contacts need firm engagement with the battery terminals. If seating is correct, disconnect and reconnect once; some chargers require a brief reset to initiate the BMS handshake on a new pack. Check that the dock LED changes state, which confirms current is flowing. If the indicator stays static after reseating, test the dock with the original pack to isolate whether the fault is the charger or the replacement cell.
